20.01.2022 Thank you to those who have already nominated MGM Lions Club as your IGA Maiden Gully Community program beneficiary. Every time you scan your tag when you shop, IGA donates a portion back to our Club, which in turn is returned in various ways to the Community. Its a win win situation. Its easy to participate - call in to IGA and pick up the form, nominate MGM Lions Club, and remember to scan when you shop. ... Thanks for your support, and a big thank you to IGA.

04.01.2022 Our Lions Club has been privileged to manage and care for the Old Marong Shire Hall since approx 1995 when the Shire amalgamated with what is now the City of Greater Bendigo. This grand building stands as a reminder of a past era, and continues its life for the next generations to enjoy. If only these walls could talk ...... Our team was busy again today at our monthly working bee, giving the old girl the love she deserves - cleaning, gardening , repairs/ maintenance/ improvements. Dont forget that this character building is available to hire for your next function. Contact our Booking Officer, Rick Farrell, 0408 632757, or inquire at the Marong Post Office.

03.01.2022 Dear Lions of Italy, I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the devastating earthquake that struck the central mountainous region of your homeland early Wedn...esday morning, leaving many families mourning the loss of loved ones, and the loss of their homes. The executive officers, the Board of Directors, and Lions around the world want you to know the people of Italy are in our thoughts and in our prayers as you face this catastrophe, and we send our deepest condolences. We also want you to know that we are mobilizing to provide a major catastrophe grant of US$100,000 for immediate disaster relief. We are doing everything we can to provide you with as much immediate assistance as possible. Over the past several years, the Lions family around the world has faced many natural disasters. Together, as a family, we have provided relief when and where needed. True to our centennial motto Where Theres A Need, Theres A Lion, we stand with the Lions and the people of Italy as you overcome this tragedy. lcif.org/donate Sincerely, International President Chancellor Bob Corlew
