25.01.2022 It is so hard to see so much of our country and wonderful people through going such challenging times at the moment. Thank you to all the Lions around the country lending a hand in person or raising funds. The Australian Lions Foundation has set up a national appeal to help those affected, a great appeal to recommend to those wanting to donate. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.

23.01.2022 A fantastic video animation that is highly recommended to watch and share. Pete is a farmer from north-western NSW, he shares the mental toll that the on-going drought has taken on him, leading to anxiety and depression; both problems that aren’t traditionally talked about in the stoic, male-focused farming industries in remote parts of the country. It is fantastic to have men sharing these stories, inspiring others to reach out for help. If you need support contact https://mensline.org.au/ https://player.vimeo.com/video/46644083

23.01.2022 Freedom to Feel Fantastic is a great project to tell your local schools about, it's full of positivity and supports us all to be who we are judgement-free. It is free to sign up for an event pack full of resources.

23.01.2022 The role of parents and adults in talking to young people through this time is crucial. As the situation progresses the types of challenges we face will change, as will the general reaction of most people. This most likely follows some fairly predictable stages. Over the next few weeks, our Ambassador Andrew Fuller will release a series of factsheets to help us have these conversations at different stages of this situation. You can access the full factsheet: Stage 1 of talking to children about COVID here https://aldaf.org.au//Talking-to-Young-People-about-Corona
