23.01.2022 Our Club will be at BROOKSIDE Shopping Centre at Mitchelton (near the news agency) 9am to 12md supporting World Sight Day come and say hello.

22.01.2022 Yes our Club has stocks of the full range of Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings. Perfect for any time of the year not just Christmas. The sale of Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings has always been an important project which raises funds which are then returned to the community. This year as many of our usual fund raising activities have not been possible because of Covid-19 and the associated restrictions the project takes on increased importance. On dates during November... and December we will again be at Brookside Shopping Centre and the roadside stall at Osborne Road, Everton Park. Time and dates will be posted as we get closer. Please come and support us. We will also be selling a limited number of small iced Christmas cakes perfect for gifts. If you want one or more pre-order to ensure you don’t miss out as they have been very popular in the past. 18.01.2022 Done and dusted. Big thank you to all the Folks who generously supported the Stafford Bunnings sausage sizzle we undertook today. Thank you also to Lou and Olivia from Bunnings Stafford who looked after us and to our members who produced results which enable our Lions Club to raise funds to support our community.

18.01.2022 Congratulate Beth Zazlan on winning the Name the Lion Competition and thank you everyone who had participate during the process. As the winner of the competitio...n, Beth won a Lions teddy bear and a $30 My Village News voucher, which she kindly donated the voucher to Valley Hearts in the knowledge that one of their clients would really appreciate the treat of a coffee and cake. Lastly but not least, thank you My Village News for the continued support!

13.01.2022 Lions Australia is pleased to have adopted Disaster Relief Australia as one of our key projects. Disaster Relief Australia (formerly known as Team Rubicon) brin...gs military veterans, emergency responders and motivated civilians together to volunteer their time to assist with emergency and disaster relief operations. This not only helps communities devastated by disasters, but it also helps Australian veterans find purpose through community service. Lions members are often the first to respond during times of crisis, as was seen in the 2019/2020 Black Summer bushfires. This partnership will be of significant benefit to both organisations - allowing veterans to get involved in more community projects, and assisting Lions clubs with more trained emergency responders in times of disaster. 09.01.2022 World Sight Day is Thursday 8 October 2020. Drop by Brookside Shopping Centre that morning and catch up with us (from a distance) near the Coffee Club. Heaps of brochures from Lions Eye Health Program and bookmarks etc. Important information information to share with the community about your eye health. Don't take your sight for granted. Bring any spectacles and sun glasses you no longer need and place them in our Recycle for Sight box.

09.01.2022 The NOW Business Network Inc lead by Mary-Ann Strelow from Fleet Crew and Alderley Automotive and one of our very generous supporters with some of the NOW Board Members admiring some of the 30 hampers going out to school families in need this Christmas. Our club donated 30 Lions Christmas cakes going out in each hamper. Each hamper holds over $100 of food and products. Well done Brisbane Bunya Lions and the NOW group. Both groups serving community in service. We thank NOW for being such a great supporter of our Club.
