Our Parks and Wellness teams have been wrapping trees outside our Administration Building and across Canning with blue fabric th...is week as a visual reminder to everyone that mental health matters. By covering and painting some of our trees in blue for the Blue Tree Project, we hope to spread the message that it's OK to not be OK and there's always someone to talk to who will listen. Two trees within the City will also be painted blue during Mental Health Awareness Week (10-17 October) - one at Whaleback Golf Course and the other at Massey Park, Rossmoyne on 10 October at 10am. Details of this free, community event can be found at Painting of the Blue Tree This is a joint project between the City, the Lions Club of Canning City , Whaleback Golf Course and Beaver Tree Services and encourages people to talk about mental health. This is a visual reminder to everyone to help spark difficult conversations and encourage people to speak up when battling Mental Health Concers, By spreading the paint and spreading the message that It’s OK not to be OK

12.01.2022 Our Volunteers for Cleanup Australia Day at Centenary Park this morning. We cruised along the riverbank behind the seascouts and the Naval Cadets clubrooms . We collected in total approx 3 bags of rubbish and almost a bag of recyclables. A succesfull morning and thanks to all concerned.
