25.01.2022 Meetings We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday at 6:30pm every month. All are welcome!... Come enjoy a nice dinner, dessert and sit in on our meeting to find out how we help the community. The public are welcome to attend as a guest of a Lion. Guests often attend to either speak about what they are doing in the community or to learn a little more about who Lions are and what they do. Can you imagine the stories they could tell, the faces they have sat on, the exotic and not so exotic places they have been, the number of times they have found themselves homeless only to appear weeks later having survived behind the refrigerator or under the bed. But life is about to look up for these beauties as they set out on another phase of their lives, firstly stopping in Queensland for a makeover then it’s off to somewhere in outback Austra...lia or perhaps the South Pacific where they will see things that they could previously only dream about. A second chance at fame and fortune perhaps or maybe bringing joy to the life of someone who has never owned a pair of glasses before and has prayed that one day that moment would be realised. Whatever the future might hold, these old spectacles will be cherished wherever they go and on behalf of the future recipients I thank you for your generous donation, a donation that will definitely change someone’s life. 17.01.2022 Spec Savers Whitford City continue to support us by collecting old spectacles so we can recycle them and make them available to those in need, many of whom have never had the opportunity to own a pair of their own. To us they are something that sits at the bottom of a drawer and eventually gets thrown out BUT to the people who will receive these glasses they are more valuable than everything, other than their family members. Thank you Spec Savers for this donation.

09.01.2022 The lions club girrawheen swapmeet (weather permitting) will be re-opening this Saturday 8/8/2020 at new park shopping centre from 6am - 11am Social distancing MUST be observed 1.5METRES! Hand sanitizer will be provided but we encourage stall holders to have there own also!... $10 a bay Permanent stall holders in first at 6:00 am Casuals allowed in at 6:30 am All stall holders must be gone by 11:30 am Please take your rubbish.
