25.01.2022 Tasman Community Swimming Pool are having a stall at the Community Expo this Saturday in Nubeena - to help with our display we are on the hunt for any old photos community members may have of the pool. 23.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR HELP! The upcoming Tasman Art & Craft Exhibition held in Nubeena is the major fundraiser for our community pool, the monies raised from this community event help keep pool fees at a very affordable rate while also providing funds towards the maintenance of the facility. The Exhibition is a fully volunteer run event, kindly supported by members of the local Art Group and we are in need of other community minded volunteers to help in the canteen serving our yummy Devonshire teas. 2 hours of your time throughout the Exhibition on Saturday 25th or Sunday 26th January 2020 is all that is needed! If you would like to lend a hand please contact us, any help greatly appreciated :-)

23.01.2022 A reminder to please ensure at the end of your swim that you put the cover back on the pool - do not assume that someone is swimming after you, sometimes it is a few hours between swim sessions so please respect other pool users and help our volunteer committee by rolling the cover closed.

16.01.2022 Due to the rapidly developing situation with Covid-19, the pool committee have made the tough decision to close the Lions of Tasman Swimming Pool season as of today 18/3/2020. This decision has been made in the interest of safety for our community - although research indicates that the Covid-19 virus does not live in well maintained chlorinated water our facility is only cleaned nightly not between each swim sessions which could potentially be leaving users at risk of infecti...on via the spread of germs on surfaces such as handrails etc. Our intention is not to cause any alarm, but to be realistic and responsible about this matter - it is better to be cautious than careless. Taking into consideration that this is an unprecedented event and the facts that we are only closing the pool season approx 2 weeks earlier than anticipated, the low hire fees that are charged for the pool use and that our committee is volunteer run we have decided to not offer a refund for this early closure. We do hope that our community understands this stance, if however you feel that this will have a major impact on you financially please do not hesitate to contact us to sort out a solution. 16.01.2022 Unfortunately the Tasman Art & Craft Exhibition due to be held in January 2021 is cancelled due to the current uncertainties around COVID-19. It is certainly a decision not made lightly but with the safety of all our artists, volunteers and our community at the forefront, the organising committee are simply unable to proceed. The Exhibition is the major fundraiser for the Tasman Community Swimming Pool and will be greatly missed for the financial support it provides to the running of the pool and also as the important event for our community it has become.

12.01.2022 A friendly reminder - If using pool toys while using the pool please check the condition of these items before taking into the pool, unfortunately we are seeing debris in the water from these items falling apart which is not ideal for other swimmers or for our filtration system, thank you :-)

12.01.2022 For security reasons a new key access code was made on Thursday 17/10/19, please check your most recent pool booking reminder email which will list this new code. Please DO NOT share this code with anyone particularly school students, help us protect your children and our facility by keeping this code to yourself.

11.01.2022 All pool users please take note- Unfortunately the pool gas heater has broken meaning the pool is currently unable to hold its regular consistent 28 degrees and is instead only being heated by solar. You can still swim but we cannot guarantee the temperature of 28 degrees. Temperature will obviously be dependent upon what the weather is like. A new part for our gas heater has been ordered but it could be at least 2 weeks until repaired, we will keep all users informed of pro...gress. The pool gas heater is very old and our volunteer committee were already investigating new heating options, looks like this may be a job needed sooner rather than later. Apologies for the disruption. 10.01.2022 Local first aid course or CPR refresher course to be held in Nubeena 6 & 7 July - further details on attached post, bookings to be made ASAP. Please note at this stage it is unclear the effect COVID-19 will have on the pool season this year, but we think this upcoming course may be beneficial to those hirers needing to update their qualifications. The pool committee will NOT be looking to hold a local cpr refresher as we have in previous years so please be aware this could b...e your only option held locally. With insurance regulations becoming more strict in these times we encourage you to take this opportunity to thoroughly check your qualifications are current, remembering that all pool hirers MUST have a CURRENT CPR qualification and be in attendance for each session booked.

10.01.2022 Friday 1st November pool users - please be advised that a community event at Tasman District School will restrict vehicular access to the swimming pool between approximately 4-6pm. You may need to park your car nearby and walk to the pool.

08.01.2022 You will notice new signs at the pool with a QR code for the Covid Check in Tas App, this is an easy to use self check-in of your attendance at our facility with your information directly stored with the Tasmanian Government for contact tracing if ever required. 02.01.2022 GOOD NEWS - The pool gas heater is repaired!! The pool water temperature is now back to normal and able to maintain a consistent 28 degree temperature. Enjoy your swimming :-)
