22.01.2022 Our Broome team welcomed Amy Kerr, Practice Manager, and Dr Rachael Heath Jeffery in January. Despite the hot and humid weather and various rain storms they are settling into Broome life. Amy and Rachael made their first outreach trips to Halls Creek and Kununurra last week with Dr Shah and our trusty pilot Mitch, who had his hands full dancing with the storms. They were very warmly received by our friends, patients and colleagues in the East Kimberley and managed to do a spot of hill climbing as part of their early morning exercise (may be something to do with walking off the cake for Mitch's birthday). Welcome to team LOV!

18.01.2022 A great week in the Kimberley. Thank you Alcon for the donation of the amazing Constellation equipment. The first surgery of its type performed in the outback.

04.01.2022 It seems like only yesterday we were sharing Christmas greetings and here we are heading towards the end of January. It has been a very busy few weeks for the team as we welcome new members, get the van ready to hit the road, continue with our preparations for our Broome based hub and have our optometry team back doing what they do so well. With an earlier start up for the vision van this year, Dr Turner is currently in Albany with two of our new residents, Dr Jessie Channell and Dr Randolph Dobson, who are settling in very well. More introductions to come so watch this space.

03.01.2022 It has been quite a year! Thank you to our doctors who are leaving us this year, Dr Yachana Shah, Dr Michelle Hui, Dr Matthew Watson and Dr Sebastian Derham, for all you hard work and commitment, but most of all for taking such good care of our patients. We will miss you and hope to see you again in the not too distant future. To all our partners, supporters, colleagues and patients we thank you for making what we do so special and for staying with us on our journey to imp...roving eye health options for all regional west Australians. To those who have family overseas and interstate this year we hope you will soon be able to share time with them again soon. We are very excited for the new opportunities 2021 holds and to be back on the road and in communities. Until then we wish everyone joy and happiness over the festive season and above all that you and yours stay safe and well. From us to you - have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See more

02.01.2022 We are almost at that time of the year where we start to farewell our doctors as they move on to their next role. Our Fred Hollows Fellow, Dr Yachana Shah is on her last surgical trip for the year with the highlight of treating the first ever paediatric squint in the Pilbara. It's been awesome having you on the team Yachana and we will miss you, but thank you for all you have done for our patients over the year.
