11.01.2022 Fistivus XXXI fists off tomorrow! While the LionStormers will once again be short some key personnel, both the Mixed and Men's teams will be looking to put in various cracking performances and punch out some valuable 2018 championship points. For the Men's team, leading the charge will be Eric 'ThE dOg' Maddocks as fill-in captain, leading a ragtag gang of fistball rapscallions including Ash 'Ashtronaut' Bishop, Javier 'Guaroman' Riobo and Jacob 'Genesis' Lackenby. For the 5t...h soldier, LionStorm have stolen back Gustavo Guevera after he made his debut for South Melbourne Fistball Club at Fistivus XXX, helping him to continue his ultimate goal of playing for every VFL team in 2018. Captain Paul 'Fistasaurus Rex' Trask will be off wrestling wild bucks, and Chris 'Super Mario' Milne cannot escape the City of Churches. Mat 'Mateo' Selleck will be off playing that other sport, the one we don't mention around these parts, while Rick 'Click' Sheers is nursing an old-man-playing-contact-sports injury. For the Mixed team, captain Alex 'Rage' Sinclair will be looking to back up her B&F performance at Fistivus XXX with another strong outing, leading a team that will include two returning champs and two excitable rookie fisters - Lauren 'Size' Davis and Stephanie 'Meerkat' Cavanagh will be back after making their successful debuts in round 1, while Andrew 'Fergo' Ferguson and Georgia 'Paris' Hiltoro will be making their much-hyped debuts. As for the 'outs', Kev 'Big Left' Roberts and Dhiraj 'Brown Bullet' Joti will also be off wrestling wild bucks, while Bethan 'Muffin' Jones will be washing her hair. Regardless of the personnel on the day, the official LionStorm copyrighted mascot - Lion-O of the Thundercats - will be there in spirit, coating the brave and proud hearts of the fisting Stormers with the power of his Fist of Omens. Fist on!

10.01.2022 For those eagle-eyed fans out there, you may have noticed a pretty significant name change that occurred yesterday. And here's why... MEDIA RELEASE The Fistroy Lions have completed negotiations to merge clubs with FistStorm, beginning with the 2018 season!...Continue reading

09.01.2022 Fistivus XXX might not have gone as well as we would've liked for our first outing as the new-branded LionStorm FC, but it was not without promise! While the men's team went 0-4 on the day, they were unlucky to not steal a win in several encounters, pushing both Mutts FC and eventual PNT-winners Fist Club in tight three-set battles, while also losing a back-and-forth straight-set arm-wrestle against South Melbourne Fistball Club. With some team chemistry building, and tactica...l operant conditioning unfolding, surely Fistivus XXXI will be more fruitful on the scoreboard. The mixed team however picked up an important win against mixed league newbies Mutts FC to finish 1-3 for the day, a solitary win that could prove critical down the stretch. With a couple of newbies on board, they'll be better for their first fist out, and it's all onwards and upwards from here. Captain Alex 'Rage' Sinclair also claimed a tri-shared Best & Fistest Award in the Mixed Division, just reward for a day of solid fisting. With a couple of players expected to come back into the team next Fistivus - in particular reigning 2017 Alwin Oberkersch Medallist Rick 'Sheersy' Sheers and former Klemens Kronsteiner Medallist Chris 'Super Mario' Milne - hopefully LionStorm will be ready to start unleashing some feline lightning at Fistivus XXXI. Felightning, if you will.
