25.01.2022 Lipoedema Australia will be attending this important webinar in the morning.. 4am our time!! Lisa our Secretary and myself as Chair will attend. Will understand it will be the first of many as we join with our Patient groups around the globe to have our voice be heard in developing a " real international consensus " on lipoedema. Lisa and I will report back later when we have had time to sleep ( a few late nights and early mornings so we can talk and be a voice for Australia) Listen in our listen later on. So much has happened in just a few days!

23.01.2022 LIPOEDEMA AUSTRALIA BOARD VACANCIES We are looking for new people to join our board to perform a hands-on role at this exciting stage of our development. This is a unique opportunity for people who are passionate about volunteering with the peak national organisation and charity, for lipoedema in Australia. We’ve already been instrumental in instigating significant changes for lipoedema patients in this country, and as an organisation we aspire to grow and deliver even more.... THE POSITION: We are looking for people keen to make a difference, as we are a volunteer working Board and require applicants who can contribute collaboratively with their time, energy, skills and commitment. We are seeking candidates with attributes and experience in one or more of the following areas: Administration skills - Board members manage their own administrative tasks, so well - rounded administrative skills are valued. Previous conference/event management experience. Demonstrated success in fundraising. Media engagement & the development of external communications materials. Presentation/facilitation experience. Professional financial management. Community committee or board experience, an understanding of board responsibilities. We are seeking research proposals from teams of scientists, clinicians, and surgeons worldwide, regardless of their background or previous work in Lipedema. While all ideas are welcome, during this current cycle, we will prioritize proposals focused on improving the screening and diagnosis of patients.
