25.01.2022 More than 70% of young people experiencing mental ill-health will not reach out for help, largely due to stigma. Youth mental health organisation, batyr was created by young people for young people to change this. By empowering young people like Maddie, to share real, relatable and resilient stories in a safe and impactful way, batyr are smashing the stigma around mental ill-health and encouraging young people to access support when they need it. By supporting Liptember you can help a young person like Maddie feel confident to share their story with mental ill-health: www.liptember.com.au/donate

22.01.2022 As last year's top Individual Fundraiser, Michelle McKinnon is once again fundraising for Liptember 2020 - THANK YOU, Michelle! Michelle has already raised a staggering $2,220, above and beyond her $1k fundraising goal. "Women's mental health is often overlooked, people think we can talk to our friends and get on with things. With more pressure in the world, it makes it harder to look after ourselves. ... I questioned if the time was right to participate in Liptember with so many things going on in the world but I realised, it makes Liptember and this even more important. Donate what you can and let’s take care of the women in our lives." You too can donate here: www.liptember.com.au/michelle-mckinnon

13.01.2022 Melissa Yu met the love of her life on a train platform when they were both 18 and were inseparable for five years until the unthinkable happened. I actually say that Gus was too big for this world - that ultimately took his life...If only he’d just reached out called a service like Lifeline. Having lived and seen first-hand the ripple effects of suicide on loved ones and the wider community, Mel decided to become a Lifeline Crisis Supporter.... More than ever I’ve allowed this to become my purpose and I think it’s to hopefully save lives, one phone call at a time. Every connection can offer hope and it is devastating that Lifeline still don’t have the resources to answer every call immediately. They rely on donors and partners like Liptember to keep the lines running. The funds raised for Liptember go towards training people like Mel to help deliver life-saving support: www.liptember.com.au/donate
