This is a warning to all women to stockpile chocolate following the news that the 2012 cocoa bean crop is the lowest on record! OMG!! You will have started to notice that the prices of chocolate have increased since last year and the small corner shops near home are limited on the chocolate range. Due to the shortness of rainfall and a very dry winter, cocoa harv...est did not have a good turnout. Look, if you are a woman, girl, female start stocking up on your chocolate in your pantry, drawers, under the bed, shoe box, just anywhere in preparation for your next chocolate emergency (bad hair day, menstruation, break up with your boyfriend, menopausal hot flush) Most chocolate can last six months if kept in the fridge, but Liquid Chocolate can last up to one year if kept in a dry and cool environment of 18 to 24 degrees. The aroma of cocoa roasting from the chocolate school behind lingers through the museum. Yes, Behind the museum is a chocolate school! A very hard, challenging and dedicated school to get in to, as they need a 4-year commitment from the students. Chocolate is serious business here in Barcelona. This museum is a must to drop in and I hope you all get to visit here.
