24.01.2022 THINGS ARE ALWAYS BETTER THAN IT SEEMS. TRAFFIC is gone, LONG QUEUES are gone. GAS is affordable, BILLS extended.... KIDS are at home with their FAMILIES, PARENTS are home taking care of their CHILDREN. FAST FOOD replaced by HOME COOKED MEALS, hectic SCHEDULES replaced by NAPS. The AIR seems CLEANER, the WORLD QUIETER. PEOPLE are conscious about HYGIENE and HEALTH again. WE finally listen to authorities and head home when they say so. MONEY doesn't seem to make the WORLD GO ROUND anymore. And WE now have TIME, finally, to STOP and SMELL the ROSES. It seems like this COVID-19 is a RESET BUTTON for HUMANITY!!! #copypaste

24.01.2022 Large Sir Walter lawn at The Springs Estate. Gardens and landscaping over the next few weeks. Tip of the week...Always keep screeding and remove any foot marks or indents as your laying. Remember, it's easier to level under the turf than to try and top dress problems later.... Big thanks to Paul and Kerry on letting us create your outside home. 24.01.2022 Nice time to core as we have had some good showers to loosen up the soil. Overlapping my passes to ensure a great arreation of the lawn is vital. We also make every effort to get into small areas and paths, our corer is just 550mm wide. :)... I had it set on 80mm hollow tines but could only get down 60mm to 70mm this time aroumd. Applied a Reno Gyp/Calcium prill to aid in the uptake of nutrients and help with the compaction of the soil.

23.01.2022 Quick extension to my green. Laid some low pressure irrigation line, for later on. Used the old school water level to get my levels as I screeded the soil. Worked in a slow release granular as I went.... Now's the time before the showers to plug the tifdwarf. I find this the easiest way as the plug I take out is usually with 100mm of soil and deep roots, so it takes really well and just the usual watering as normal.

23.01.2022 This morning we completed a renovation on Zoysia Empire.. Just over two years of thatch build up which leads to lack of water and nutrients to the ground where it's needed. Another problem associated with a heavy thatched lawn is Fungal issues...most commen is dollar spot. Zoysia along with its sister Sir Grange (Zoysia Zeon) I am a firm believer these should be thinned out once a year to keep it on point.... -Scarify -Rake up all dead thatch 1.5 trailer loads -Mow to a height that can be maintained and set the customers mower to same height. -Application of a liquid concoction including a commercial fert,iron,wetting agent,Soil Prima and depending on the lawn a 8 week stabilised nitrogen. -Coring not needed Here is a pic of the same lawn some time ago. And I expect, it will come back better than this

22.01.2022 First job was a pristine Zoysia, time for a scarify and renovation. At least once a year it pays to 'de-thatch' and mow it to a reasonable height. The mower used on this property is set one notch higher, enabling the leaf to regrow and back to it's former glory If you have a Buffalo lawn the rules are a little different.... 17.01.2022 Renovation jobs on Friday and Saturday. Scarified a Zoysia lawn in Dundowran Beach. Nathan kept this lawn 'On Point' for the last few years but it became over thatched and restricting the root zone of water,light and nutrients. Cut short with the mower,then a double pass with our de-thatcher,added calcium gyp prill with a organic mix. Back on Tuesday for a liquid blend of fert and wetting agent. ... Triple cored a lawn in The Spring's Estate, got down to 120mm. We added organics and Gypsum to make this lawn the envy of street. We had the option of solid tines If the ground was too hard. #lawncoring #lawncare #scarifying #herveybay

16.01.2022 New machinery for 2020 We offering the option now of a solid tine or hollow core. Up to a incredible 130mm deep! The Grounsman 460 HD at 1020mm wide. Coupled with a triple tine set up means more penetration at every 40mm!! Groundsman is regarded as one of the top commercial machines on the market, able to do a residential lawn easily up to sports fields.... Solids are great on a heavily compacted soil, leaving minimum disruption as hollow tines will remove a deep core. 12.01.2022 Scarify 700m2 of #Tiftuf first up this morning. Lawn has been down around one year and Hayden has been doing a great job on such a huge lawn. We sprayed for Mite last week and removed the thatch that had been accumulating. This will enable nutrients and water to get to the plant.... Also detailed a plan so Hayden can do keep his lawn the best it can be. Also are two photos that show it's just as important after every job to remove and clean clippings and cores from machinery. It just how it should be done!.....As tomorrow is coring and scarifing #Sir Walter then a green couch yard. Happy Monday everyone #lawncare

11.01.2022 Top Dress Success 12 cubic metres of top dressing at Dundowran Beach today. It went down quickly and even roped in the client to use the drag mat.... I even offered my client a 'mature age apprenticship' but he declined by laughing as he drive past. I take that as a NO. There is no greater reward then to look back at a flat level lawn.
