Her weight loss on the scales is minimal but her body fat has dropped therefore we have retained her existing muscle resulting in a defined athletic physique. Often people go off what they weigh on the scales to track progress when trying to lose weight. When the number on the scale goes down, most diete...rs see it as success. However, the issue with using a scale as the only method to track your progress is that most scales don’t differentiate between fat loss and muscle loss, which is an important factor in measuring your progress. Taking measurements of Hips, waist, chest, arm and thigh is a great way to ensure you are dropping actual body fat.
