25.01.2022 My friend David Templeman MLA summed up 2020 pretty well yesterday!

19.01.2022 The McGowan Government launched the Path to Safety: Western Australia’s strategy to reduce family and domestic violence 2020-2030, a long-term vision for a Western Australia where all people live free from family and domestic violence. It sets out a clear whole-of-government and community plan for reducing and responding to family and domestic violence over the next decade. This is part of a comprehensive packages of reforms and initiatives delivered by the State Government t...o increase the safety of women and children. So proud to be a part of the McGowan Labor team <3
16.01.2022 The McGowan Labor Government has rolled out the $1 million WA Respectful Relationships Teaching Support Program pilot, supporting school staff to teach students about domestic violence prevention By teaching students about healthy and positive relationships and by implementation of a whole-of-school approach to violence prevention, we’re making sure WA students have a better understanding of preventing, identifying and stopping family and domestic violence.
15.01.2022 On Friday I had the privilege of attending Allambee and OVIS’s 10th annual Silent March in remembrance of those who have lost their lives due to domestic violence. As a paramedic and registered psychologist I see upfront the impact and devastation that domestic violence has on families as well as the rippling affect it has on those who love them and our community. To those who are experiencing domestic violence, please know you are never alone - we stand with you.
15.01.2022 PEEL HEALTH CAMPUS UPGRADE
10.01.2022 I want to share some exciting news! This morning the McGowan government announced the end to privatisation of Peel Health Campus and a $152 million redevelopment to the hospital! Only a re-elected McGowan Labor Government will ensure the Peel community receive the services they deserve.
09.01.2022 Established in 2017, the McGowan Government’s RSPCA Pets in Crisis Program helps women and children fleeing domestic violence, by temporarily fostering out their pets while they get back on their feet. We know that some women stay in violent relationships because they can't take their pets with them and fear they'll be hurt or killed. By providing temporary foster care for their pets, we’re providing practical help to support them on their path out of violent relationships.
09.01.2022 Lest we forget.
07.01.2022 Premier Mark McGowan shows his support for the 16 Days in WA Stop the Violence campaign, which starts tomorrow. For more information or to get involved, visit https://www.communities.wa.gov.au/projects/16-days-in-wa/ #16DaysinWA #StopTheViolence #RespectStartsWithYou
04.01.2022 I'm supporting 16 Days in WA to Stop Violence Against Women. The McGowan Labor Government is serious about stopping family and domestic violence. That’s why they have changed the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 to better meet the needs of tenants experiencing family and domestic violence. Victims can now choose to stay or leave their tenancies and if desired, make their rental homes safer with timely access to lock changes and other security upgrades. ... It’s practical changes like these that help survivors of family and domestic violence to feel safer and more supported.
02.01.2022 Meet the Mates of Munday A big shout out to my two wonderful sons, Alex and Frazer, who have been with me since day one hitting the doors whenever they can around their studies and exams. Alex and Frazer both have High Functioning Autism, and they know that only a Labor Party government is going to provide them, and others like them, with the support they need to live a fulfilling life. ... If you want to meet my fantastic sons and help spread the word of the benefits of a McGowan Labor government, join us here https://walabor.org.au/LisaMundayDawesville
01.01.2022 Meet the Mates of Munday This is Bernie! Like me, he is a paramedic who has spent the majority of his life serving the Dawesville community. Bernie comes door knocking with me as often as he can because he knows that only the Labor Party will give our community the support it needs to thrive.
