25.01.2022 The travel industry deserves additional support from the federal government. They were the first hit by covid-19 restrictions and will be the last to recover.
25.01.2022 I was humbled to be asked to sponsor the Bendigo District Cricket Association women's competition this year. It's exciting that the season is going to go ahead because there was some uncertainty around COVID-19. More importantly, it's so good that women can get out and play cricket.
24.01.2022 It’s not every day you have a shield named after you! Honoured to be asked to sponsor the Bendigo District Cricket Association’s women’s competition for the upcoming season.

18.01.2022 Through no fault of their own, travel agents were the first to be hit by covid-19 restrictions and will be the last to recover. I’m calling on the Morrison Government to offer industry based support to this sector. italktravel & cruise Bendigo Central
18.01.2022 Wonderful news! Macedon Ranges Shire Council are using funding from the Federal Government Local Community Roads and Infrastructure program to fix missing footpath links near Malmsbury Primary School. Well done to Amy for suggesting this important location, hopefully it makes pushing that pram a bit easier.
17.01.2022 Restrictions on crowd numbers are still in place, which means businesses relying on major events in Bendigo are continuing to struggle. The Morrison Government must detail which form of support the events sector can expect when JobKeeper ends in March, to ensure more jobs are not lost.
17.01.2022 I just love Percy and Percy’s green eggs and ham. Yum! #loveyourlocal
17.01.2022 Did you know? If a house was built or renovated before 1990 it has a good chance of containing asbestos. Whether you're doing up your own home or working on someone else's, be aware before you start of where asbestos might be found. #AsbestosAwarenessWeek2020
15.01.2022 #happyeaster from this happy bunny! We hope everyone is enjoying a Happy Easter. To all the frontline workers out there, in our hospitals, cafes and shops - thank you for all you do - Daisy, Matt, Lisa & bump
15.01.2022 Our pensioners missed out on their usual increase this month. The Morrison Government must have the decency to show them greater support this budget.

13.01.2022 Today in Parliament, Labor is again calling on the Government to extend the current rate of JobSeeker by keeping the supplement at $250 per fortnight and set a new, higher ongoing JobSeeker rate. Here is part of my speech highlighting why it is so important.
13.01.2022 Now is the time to get behind big projects in Bendigo that will support our growth and the economy as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
12.01.2022 Electric cars are cheaper to run and under Labor, they’ll be cheaper to buy too. Labor’s Electric Car Discount announced today will cut taxes and make electric cars more affordable, giving families a genuine choice. Here is a link to the announcement: https://bit.ly/3rwtuX6
12.01.2022 Ron is the president of the Kyneton District Soccer Club. The club grounds are so bad that during the winter that they can’t play home games. Ron applied for... a grant to have the grounds resurfaced. But because of the sports rorts, Ron’s application was rejected. If you believe integrity should be at the core of government, support Labor.
11.01.2022 The Federal Government's decision not to increase the pension this month was a blow for pensioners already struggling with the impacts of COVID-19. It's time they received better support.

08.01.2022 Today we honour the dedicated men and women who have died serving our communities in Australia's police forces. This year we particularly remember Victoria Police's finest Lynette, Glen, Kevin and Josh now resting in peace.

07.01.2022 Today I caught up with Angela, Julie and the team at Uniting Bendigo. They’ve launched their annual Toy Drive, requesting unwrapped, new toys and non-perishable or specialty Christmas food items. Christmas can be tough for many and this year is particularly challenging. If you can give, please do. Drop off:... 06.01.2022 I caught up with Gavin on ABC Central Victoria earlier today to talk about the need for upgrades at the Bendigo Airport (listen at 2:12). Tuesday's budget is the perfect opportunity for the Morrison Government to give Bendigo its fair share.
06.01.2022 These JobSeeker cuts come in just as Central Victorians have the chance to get out and spend more on hospitality and retail it is terrible timing. WATCH
06.01.2022 Reducing, then removing, the coronavirus supplement would slash more than 2450 jobs from the Bendigo economy. https://www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au//how-much-could-cuts/
06.01.2022 JobKeeper payments will reduce by $300 per fortnight for full-time workers from today. The rate could fall by as much as $750 per fortnight for people who work fewer than 20 hours per week.
05.01.2022 Why is it always someone else's fault and someone else's job with this Prime Minister?
04.01.2022 I welcome the Victorian Government’s push for staffing ratios in aged care. Now is the time for the Morrison Government to come to the party and reform this sector. Residents, staff and families need certainty immediately. The situation is dire.
02.01.2022 Absolutely stunning day for outdoor dining. Wonderful to see so many businesses and customers making the most of this weather. Edwards Providore #loveyourlocal

01.01.2022 Big shout out to Ron and the crew at Kyneton District Soccer Club for standing up against sports rorts. The Liberals are dodgy but Labor is #OnYourSide #ALPconf21 I'll continue to fight for their fair share.
