21.01.2022 For those working out from hone and running out of ideas Keep it simple.

21.01.2022 LEARN THE NAVY SEAL TECHNIQUE FOR REDUCING STRESS AND STAYING CALM Stress reduction is a fundamental part of overall quality of life. Not only that, but it is ...crucial for health and weight loss. Why? Because chronically elevated cortisol (the stress hormone) can disrupt hormone balance and ultimately lead to insulin resistance (leading to a host of additional problems) Unfortunately today many people experience chronic stress and struggle to control it. We aren't taught stress management in school and our parents probably didn't teach us either (lol)... so many people turn to problematic coping strategies (I won't run through the list, you know) But there are a set of breathing strategies that can seriously help with reducing stress and turning off the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) we are often stuck in. Box breathing is taught to NAVY SEALS to manage high stress situations. It's a simple, free strategy you can do anytime, anywhere. You don't even need an app or wi-fi ;) (I can't imagine a SEAL pulling up the CALM app during a mission) While strategies like the 4-7-8 breath (which I previously posted about) can make you feel very relaxed and sleepy, box breathing often leads to a neutral energetic effect, so you can remain alert. Here's the simple 16 second process: 1) Breathe in for 4 seconds, feeling the abdomen inflate. 2) Hold your breath for 4 seconds before exhaling. 3) Breathe out for 4 seconds, feeling the abdomen deflate. 4) Hold your breath for 4 seconds before inhaling again. Repeat this process until you notice yourself experiencing a calmer state. I recommend practicing this multiple times a day for 5-10 at a time, such as on short breaks. This way you can condition your mind and body to tap into a relaxed state on-demand. Pay attention to the rising and the falling of the abdomen, because breathing through your diaphragm is an important part of this strategy (and most breathing strategies!) Here's a brief guided visualization below in the comments incase you need some assistance.

The real question is why is energy low? Stress? Sleep disturbance? Emotional reasons? Blood work is needed. After a lengthy chat about vitamin D. Sunlight. Iron levels and the need to work on deep breathing and great eating. I recommended a simple B-Vitamin Complex. As a top up. We will do this for 2 weeks and report back.
