25.01.2022 Coming up to the pointy end of the year

15.01.2022 . A long long time ago I was a smoker, in fact I was a packet a day kinda girl Like a lot of smokers I really wanted to give up..so every Monday I would until Tuesday when something bad would happen at work and I’d a cigarette.... Then one day somewhere around 1995 I met a man and he didn’t smoke so I wanted to give up even more. And I did...the incentive was greater than my discomfort Over the years I’ve wanted to give up lots of things Chocolate Cake Wine Bad men Some more than others But here’s the thing Our can be a very strong motivator. Humans are driven to change only by a significant event or by love. I mean think about it, who do you know who has received some challenging news and then turned their life around. Or remember falling in love and doing anything to make the other person happy. Now the incentive outweighs the discomfort of changing the habit. What habit would you like to change? What’s the incentive? Focusing on only what you will lose doesn’t entice the subconscious to want to change, no matter how much consciously you know you’d be better off. To make true, long lasting change the shift needs to come from the subconscious. And when it does, it releases all the anxiety, trauma, fear and sadness along with it.
