08.01.2022 Beautiful Miss Babe!! What a star!! This girl is just coming along so perfectly we've taken things very slow with this lady due to her past history of dangerous behaviours and today just showed how far she's come. Relaxing walk and trot around the arena and over some poles with both myself and her dedicated human mummy. Babe will be out and about in no time, she's already proven herself to be remarkable out and about at a few clinics on the ground. Next one will have to... be a ridden outing I think!! I have such a soft spot for this mare, she is such a willing, trying girl who just wants to please and when she understands what you want she gives you her all. She just needed someone to listen and have a little faith. She's a damn good horse under her baggaged past and I'm so proud and honoured to work with such an amazing little horse. Ps. Photo of handsome Brock after his session this morning but I'll post more about this fella another time

08.01.2022 Advanced Notice October 27th - 28th & November 10th - 11th Lessons will be unavailable. ... Make up lessons can be organised for before or after these dates. Sorry for any inconvenience!

04.01.2022 How does your saddle look like from underneath? Be aware and check you saddle - how much space does your saddle provide for your horses spine and back muscles? ... To say it clearly: almost all standard brands are providing a much to small panel distance. Our horses cope with it - like they cope with a lot of things they are not happy about. Some complain by - showing signs of discomfort when tacked up - bolting and bucking - "running away" under the saddle - showing discomfort when mounting and a lot more signs. It is our duty to listen! I picked a saddle from an ad - it was cheap and offered as "perfect for backing or hacking". To be honest - this saddle can be used for decoration - or for showing it on pictures as example. But not for riding. Please do not use saddles with a panel distance of 2-3 or less fingers on your horse (depending or your finger-size). Never! Not for backing, not for hacking, not for schooling. To answer the most frequently asked question: Why are saddle brands doing this when it is so bad? Simple answer: because riders are buying it. "Close contact" quite often comes along with a small waist of the saddle - and a small distance between the panels to achieve that. Unnecessarily how Hidalgo proves. Be aware and check your saddle with regard to the panel distance. It is one of the most important basics for healthy riding. Please do not hesitate to ask, comment and share. :)

04.01.2022 REMINDER There will be no lessons today 27th of October or tomorrow the 28th. Also the 10th and 11th of November.

01.01.2022 I have probably shared this or similar in the past but Australia needs to get on the band wagon!! I'm not anti bit but this is just beautiful horsemanship and nothing makes me happier than seeing relaxed comfortable horses. From show jumping, reining, Western trail, dressage and even vaulting bitless or bridleless yet here in Australia we won't allow just about any of these disciplines ridden bitless. Time for a change Aus
