25.01.2022 Here are 5 tips to help you with your Wedding Planning business. 1. Spend more time and effort professionally marketing your business 2. Get up early. Successful people are early risers who often accomplish more in a day than those who start their days late in the morning.... 3. Write a list of what you need to do each day and schedule your tasks on your calendar. 4. Every Sunday, write a to do list for the next week and schedule every item on it to a particular day. This will help to keep you focused. 5. I believe that doing at least one thing a day for your wedding planning business will keep you motivated and help you reach the success you really want.

17.01.2022 Wedding Planners are often asked to give their advice on the floral arrangements for a wedding. Of course, the flowers may fall under a number of different categories. There may be those associated with the Brides bouquet, those carried by the Bridesmaids, the decorations around the church or other service venue plus all of the flowers in place at the reception site. As a general principle, there isnt really any firm tradition relating to what flowers should be used, how...ever its quite nice to have a seasonal touch to the floral decorations. Of course, all of the usual considerations relating to the preference of your clients and indeed things such as colour coordination will apply. Budget will also play a part because some flowers may be more expensive than others. The key message for any Wedding Planner must be to listen carefully to their clients preferences and to do some research coupled with getting expert advice.

07.01.2022 The Role of Bridesmaids The role of Bridesmaids is an ancient one in western tradition. As is almost always the case with these things, historians are divided as to the origin of the Bridesmaid but most accept it as something that goes back to the Romans.... Odd as it may sound to us today, from the Roman period right through into Victorian times, the Bridesmaids and Best Man often dressed identically to the Bride and Groom. That goes back to an ancient belief that evil spirits are attracted to weddings in order to place curses on the Bride and Groom but by having lots of people dressed identically, the spirits become confused and cannot carry out their mischievous task. From the twentieth century onwards, few Brides were willing to share the limelight by having Bridesmaids dressed in identical gowns to their own! What is their role today and how should you as a Wedding Planner describe them? It is difficult to generalise but on the whole, the number of Bridesmaids per wedding has probably reduced over recent decades. For the most part, they actually have no practical role on the day itself, other than the Chief Bridesmaid or Maid of Honour (traditionally called the Matron of Honour if she is married) who provides logistical support for the Bride and who may also be a witness to the signing of the register. Having a number of Bridesmaids can still make a wonderful visual impact on the wedding day. Of course, it is also true that it typically also adds cost, although in some traditions the Bridesmaids may pay for their own dresses. Ultimately much will depend upon whether the wedding is large or small and just how traditional your Bride and Groom wish to be.
