24.01.2022 Before you create your next piece of content, ask yourself these 5 questions: ONE: What’s the overarching goal of my business? TWO: What’s the purpose of this content? i.e. to educate people, create awareness, inspire people or convince people through case studies and testimonials.... THREE: How does this piece of content contribute to my overarching goal? FOUR: How do I want to make people feel? e.g. do you want people to feel inspired to take an action i.e. feeling great because they’re back at the gym. FIVE: What is the best medium (you feel comfortable creating) to express this content (written/spoken/video/graphics etc). Photograph by Evie Wynters x

21.01.2022 One of the most common questions I get asked is, what lighting should I use when creating my own videos. The answer really depends: - What your video is about - What are you taking video of... - The location of your shoot - Time of day - The mood you want to create Etc To give you an example, I just came back from shooting a retreat over the weekend where I used available light the entire time. There were two reasons for this: 1. There was sufficient available light, and 2. Natural light reflected the mood of the retreat - which itself was very natural. Lets say you want to shoot some educational videos where you’re talking to camera, you’re shooting inside and don’t have much available daylight. In this case you will most likely want the light to be constant. LED ring lights are a great option for this. Vloggers absolutely love them. I think they’re great, but again - it all depends on the end goal of your video and mood you want to create! If you have a particular scenario you’d like to shoot, get in touch!

19.01.2022 Thanks to the lockdown being lifted in Sydney (ever so slightly), I had the pleasure of being back on the tools to film a client who is building her first online course. To help promote the course she’s been working on a high value video that filmed, which we’ll use to help educate her people and promote the course.

05.01.2022 Hey fitness professionals! In a world that has gone completely online, how are you capturing the attention of your audience? Yesterday I launched a free eBook (lead magnet) for one of my clients who is building a database of highly engaged people. How we did this: 1. We came up with a killer topic 2. Built a high value eBook, and... 3. Launched the eBook on her website and social media channels. The benefits of having your own email database is having direct contact with your clients and potential clients (leads) who you can deliver valuable content and offers to. You might ask, why should I build an email list when I have a social media following? Social media is a great way to be social with your audience, but their algorithms can prevent you from reaching 100% of your followers, and if your followers are not online they will not receive your messages. You can start to build a free email database with Mailchimp, or start building one with the likes of Active Campaign. I would love to where you’re at. Repost: Kicking off the new financial year with a fun new personal branding photoshoot, a big marketing drive around my online courses, a super series of education webinars, creating more online courses, websites and memberships sites for clients, and inviting more business owners into the fold for personal 1:1 marketing strategy sessions and coaching is just the... ticket! The next 6 months are going to be very telling for everybody. Not every business is going to be left standing by Christmas. Conscious marketing that is relevant is going to be ESSENTIAL.
