Sonja Cottam - A Run Director since before our launch day (April 2016), thank you for your friendly and fun Saturday mornings. Heather Marsh - A Run Director since before our launch day (April 2016), thank you for your fun and commitment to parkrun.... Sharon Gylling - A run Director for over three years, thank you for your encouraging and vibrant energy every Saturday at parkrun. Steven Avery - A Run Director for over three year, thank you for your motivational energy you give to our parkrunners. Please thank our awesome Run Directors for their dedication to Lismore parkrun! 24.01.2022 Please when you arrive at Lismore parkrun check in using the QR code (below), sanitise your hands and be at Riverside Park first timers briefing 6.50am and General briefing for ALL participants at 6.55am. We START at 7am sharp. If you arrive AFTER 7am you will not be able to participate as a parkrunner or walker you will not get a time. You can complete the course as a public user of the park and will not get a time. PLEASE be at the Park BEFORE 6.50am! Thank you to all those... parkrunners and walkers that arrive on time! PLEASE REMEMBER: all children under 11 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other ‘designated adult’ of the parents’ choice at parkrun (and be within arms length of parent). Dogs one dog per person on a short lead. Mandatory dog briefing each week for all dog owners. First timers’ briefing is at 6:50am, followed by event briefing at 6:55am then start at 7:00am. Don't forget your PRINTED barcode. No PRINTED barcode = no result = no exceptions. We are grateful they both accepted this opportunity to join our fabulous team! Please make them welcome!... At this stage we have no date for parkrun to re-commence, however it is getting closer and we are preparing to be ready for the announcement. As soon as we know, you will all know! 22.01.2022 Important Information We have had a request for pacers to resume. Unfortunately this is unable to happen as we are under the parkrun covid19 framework, where participants must keep appropriate distance. As a result this does not comply with our Global covid safegaurd plan. We will look at pacers in the future but it is not something we are looking at whilst we are under the parkrun covid-19 framework. If things change we will be sure to resume pacers but at the present time ...our focus is to provide a safe event for all participants. We thank you for your understanding. 19.01.2022 parkrun Australia COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update: 26 November Dear all, Since our last fortnightly update we have seen more restrictions ease, more people reunited and more borders reopening. In that time we have welcomed 14,000 walkers, runners and volunteers to 63 Australian parkruns in the ACT, Northern Territory, Tasmania and Western Australia, with around 150 more events set to reopen over the next two Saturdays. ...Continue reading

08.01.2022 Lismore parkrun Event number 212 9th January 2021 This week 78 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 8 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.... The event was made possible by 11 volunteers: Jenny DOWELL Justine HINCHEY Tania BONOMINI Kelly HOLMES Adrian LEWIS Shelley BARLOW Todd DUDGEON Krystal BURLEY Karen HENNINGS Robert BELL Liz ROSTEN Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Lismore parkrun Results Page. The female record is held by Gabriella HILL who recorded a time of 19:03 on 25th November 2017 (event number 84). The male record is held by Bailey CRABTREE who recorded a time of 16:57 on 26th October 2019 (event number 188). The Age Grade course record is held by Gabriella HILL who recorded 82.50% (19:03) on 25th November 2017 (event number 84). Lismore parkrun started on 2nd April 2016. Since then 2,900 participants have completed 25,672 parkruns covering a total distance of 128,360 km, including 4,860 new Personal Bests. A total of 436 individuals have volunteered 2,935 times.

06.01.2022 News from parkrun Global. Dear all, It’s been another week of significant progress for the parkrun family around the world.... Last Saturday saw more than 12,400 people walk, jog, run or volunteer at 117 events across five parkrun countries. There were also almost 600 first timers, and we’d particularly like to extend a warm welcome to those taking what might be their first steps into physical activity with us. This coming Saturday will also see parkrun return in Queensland, which is a return of another 108 events, and should see us break through 200 events on a single Saturday for the first time since parkrun events were paused. Looking further ahead, and following Australian state government updates in the past few days, we anticipate a return for events in South Australia on 5 December. And in further good news, we’re expecting to welcome back a number of events in Russia the weekend after that, on 12 December, in areas where current restrictions allow. It was exciting to receive positive news in the UK yesterday that grassroots sport will return as part of the easing of lockdown restrictions. We continue to explore what that means for parkrun and we look forward to working with all of our stakeholders, event teams and ambassadors to facilitate a return when the time is right. Where events are returning, we see participation at levels representative of pre-lockdown times, and events are operating safely and efficiently within our COVID-19 Framework. Most importantly though, please remember that we are here for everyone, regardless of whether or not their local event is currently paused. Our online community is always active on social media, or why not join the 79,000 (not)parkrunners across the globe who have now logged more than 660,000 (not)parkruns. 05.01.2022 parkrun NSW update. In New South Wales, the COVID-19 Policy Team, Public Health Response Branch NSW Ministry of Health have reviewed parkrun HQ Australia's application and put this forward to the Minister. parkrun HQ are currently awaiting an outcome and will provide a further update as soon as they are in a position to do so.
