Learn the simple techniques that will allow you to transform natural fibres, straight from the plant, into a utilitarian basket or sculptural object. Random weave is a really satisfying technique that can be used to give amazing results. In this class, students will move through the different stages and skills needed to complete a simple, beautiful basket made solely from bangalow inflorescence. Zimmi will break...down each stage of the making process so that students can work methodological or experimentally through the the basket. All materials and equipment will be supplied.what you will learn will allow you to go out and forage for yourselves from very easy to find materials.
