25.01.2022 I’ve started shopping for props for The Flood Stories installation. You get a LOT of comments when you buy 8 pairs of gumboots at one time.
21.01.2022 Like and follow Lismore Helping Hands to stay across what is happening in disaster recovery, resilience and readiness.
20.01.2022 Flood Stories is a Plein Air Residency at the Quad in Lismore from March 31- April 9 about the impact of the 2017 flood on Lismore. Sound artist Jeanti St Clair is currently DEEP in flood story land - interviewing storytellers, editing interviews, meeting the set designer and booking the shipping container that will be Flood Stories home for 10 days. Stay in touch with what is happening. Like, follow and share the project's Facebook page, Lismore Flood Stories. ... https://www.facebook.com/lismorefloodstories See more
20.01.2022 I’ve been hearing many flood stories from the community that show we are still vulnerable emotionally. As we receive our first flood watch for the year, I send out a hope that everyone has support to turn to if this is bringing fear and anxiety. Post-trauma stress can lay dormant until a specific trigger arises. If you need support or a referral for counselling, Northern Rivers Community Gateway has an information and referral service. ... https://www.nrcg.org.au/program-s/information-and-referral/ Lifeline also can refer you to a suitable counseling service. 16.01.2022 Flood Stories is an audio storytelling installation presented from March 31 - April 9, 2020 in The Quad, Lismore, as part of its Plein Art residency program. Visit Flood Stories' About page for more information.
15.01.2022 Lismore Flood Stories isn’t meant to be a flood information page here in Facebook. It is an art-based conversation about flood preparedness. But when you are asking people to share their flood stories and we have a flood on our riverbanks, you start to notice the awesome information sharing happening in our flood town.
14.01.2022 Flood Stories is coming to you soon. Find out what, where and when you can listen In.
13.01.2022 Thanks muchly to Jackie Munro at the Northern Star/Lismore Echo newspapers for the story and photo on Flood Stories. Pick up a copy of either paper today to read her article.
12.01.2022 Check out The Quad's webpage: there's more info about Flood Stories, including the installation's opening hours there. I'm looking for some help to look after the Flood Stories installation between March 31 and April 9. If you'd like to volunteer for one of the shifts, please PM Lismore Flood Stories.

11.01.2022 I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every flood storyteller who came to last night's storytelling workshop. It was an amazing night. Everyone really gave their all to thinking through how to tell their flood story as a vivid multi-sensory recollection. Even with three years since the 2017 flood, talking about what happened can bring up some strong emotions. We laughed, we cried, we shared what we have learnt and how we have grown. And we were there for each other, and I... appreciate the feedback from many who came last night - they felt supported, and were keen to tell their stories. I'm looking forward to the interview stage of the project which begins tomorrow and continues for the next couple of weeks. Flood Stories is getting very real! Image: Alex Clarke
