25.01.2022 Some of the world’s best beans and the magical pink fir apple spud amongst today’s harvest by Malcolm and Margo at @stonehouseorganics Spuds in the supermarkets and grocery stores (even organic shops) have been harvested weeks or even months ago, so these may be the freshest and tastiest potatoes you’ve ever eaten . Potatoes grown with non organic farming methods are also planted in chemical fertiliser, treated with chemicals during growth as well as post harvest to prevent from sprouting in the supermarket so be sure to pick up a bag of these beauties this week! #organicfood #certifiedorganic #farmersmarket #organic #lismore #potato #locavore

16.01.2022 We are celebrating 21 years as an organic farmers market tomorrow, the oldest one in Australia. Well I’m sure all farmers markets used to be organic only until the introduction of chemical inputs and non organic agricultural practices , so ours is the oldest existing organic market! Nev and Julie - Wellwood Organics have been here from the beginning! Their veggies and fruits are incredible, some of the best I’ve enjoyed. I especially love the different varieties of tasty leafy greens that Nev and Julie grow (favourites are kumatsuna, kale and collard greens) and those divine cherry tomatoes.
