18.01.2022 When our volunteers aren't responding to Requests for Assistance by the community they are training. On Monday night training NSW SES Lismore and Casino Units d...id a landsearch scenario at the Lismore Turf Club. The first part of the scenario was to search for a missing person. The missing person was found with a suspected broken leg and had to be stretchered out. The second part of the scenario was revealed that there was a second missing person. Both persons were found and recovered. Great job guys!! Scenario's such as this give our members a chance to challenge themselves and use skills in a situation as real as we can possibly make it. It highlights our strengths and weaknesses and where we might need to do some more training. It gives our new members a chance to ask questions and clarify in a safe setting. Scenarios take a lot of planning and organising. We would like to say Thank you and express our appreciation to those members who put in the extra hours for this training scenario. 01.01.2022 The Lismore Workers Club #LismoreCup has been run and won. It was a successful day for both the Club and the community. We would like to thank all the racegoers who adhered to the COVID restrictions and made the day easy for our staff. It is the biggest Country Race meeting since March, with 1200 attendees, almost double the second largest meet. Racing NSW and the local police could not have been more happy with the outcomes of the day. ... We would also like to thank all of our suppliers, sponsors and business partners. Without your support the day would not have been possible.
