22.01.2022 As you may have guessed, we have been extremely busy during the pandemic producing yarn. With loads of yarn enthusiasts finally finding the time to knit and cro...chet; demand for yarn has been off the chartsbut do you want to know just how busy we've been?? Here are some figures from the production team at our Bendigo and Wangaratta Woollen Mills that will blow your mind: In the last month, we have made 45 tonnes of yarn We are selling an incredible 2.1 tonnes of yarn a day Thats 300kg an hour, or 5kg a minute 5kg is enough to make a serious blanket + a large adult cardigan + 5 scarves + 6 beanies + 3 kids jumpers We are operating at around FIVE times our normal production to keep up with demand! We knew you were all busy knitting, crocheting and crafting during lockdown, but we did not realise you were that busy!! We urge you to continue to support your local yarn stores and stay patient as we continue to manufacture and deliver stock to stores during this unprecedented busy period. Thank you so much for keeping these wonderful crafts alive, for sharing all your amazing projects with us, and for keeping us so busy that we do not have time to think about anything except making yarn for you..our wonderful customers!!
