10.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2020 Litchfield Council Citizen of the Year Cameron Burrows on receiving the Firefighter of the Year award last night at Government House. The Eric Simmons Firefighter of the Year commenced in 2012 as a community service project of the Rotary Club of Darwin North. The Firefighter of the Year award recognises the commitment, bravery, professionalism and community service of both the career and volunteer firefighters.... Recipients received the Eric Simmons Medal named in honor of Past President Eric Simmons (dec'd) who was a director of the NT Emergency Services and a member of the Rotary Club of Darwin North. Congratulations also to Royle Salt on receiving this award along side Cameron. We send our congratulations!

06.01.2022 Trash to Cash and back to the Community Did you know, if you take your 10c drink containers and old car batteries to the Waste Transfer Stations they are turned into cash for the community. The Litchfield Council Community Grants Scheme has provided many community groups and organisations up to $5,000 each of funding for events or projects that benefit not only the groups but the community.... Since July this year, the community have raised almost $15,000 through their recycling efforts of drink containers and car batteries. Keep hydrated and have a drink for the community.....
