25.01.2022 We love animals and welcome your pets to stay at our camp sites. These are our 3 dogs and although I have been trying for weeks, they never seem to pose nicely for photos. From back left is Hampton, Shazz (Sharon if she is in trouble) and at the front is Drifter. #campingwithdogs #dogslife

24.01.2022 Gift Idea #1 For the adventurous loved ones in your life we have some great gift ideas. I wouldn't go camping/ fishing/ barbecuing without this one. By far the best and easiest mosquito repellent I have found. This picture must be a USA version. The box I have from Bunnings shows it has a 21m zone of protection. Stay tuned for next weeks suggestion. #litchfield

23.01.2022 Get ready, get set.... gone. These lamb chops from Malone’s Butchery NT are so good that it can be a fight to get the last one. These can be purchased as part of your BBQ pack through our online ordering system. www.litchfieldtouristpark.orderup.com.au

22.01.2022 Where will you escape to this weekend? The Reynolds Track is one of our favourites. We love getting off road, a few interesting adventures along the way and a swim at Surprise Creek. Winner!

22.01.2022 I snuck over to the neighbours without Ben this time. I'm glad I got there in time for dinner. North Kimberley Transport #Litchfield

22.01.2022 Enjoying watching the shadows lengthen and the sun beginning to set. #visitlitchfieldnt #ntaustralia #tourismtopend

21.01.2022 Throwback Thursday Squatter - now here's a great game to rival Monopoly... and it is still for sale today. Today's version was upgraded in 2016 and apparently improved. Buy and sell sheep, upgrade your farm, sell wool and win! I might add this to my Christmas basket. #nostalgia

21.01.2022 A stunning time of year to be traveling around the Top End. Made more special due to all the spectacular Poinciana Trees which are flowering at the moment. These photos are from our backyard.

19.01.2022 How about a waterfall for Wednesday. This one is Berry Springs. You can swim here from about May to October each year and is a real oasis. It has the added benefit of the kiosk selling @crazyacresnt icecream. Yummo! Add it to your wish list. #waterfalls #visitlitchfield #buyhandmade

19.01.2022 Our Laura is leaving us today after 3 and a half years. It is certainly going to feel a little strange without you. Miss ya already.

18.01.2022 Have you ever seen a full-circle rainbow? No? You are not alone! When Colin Leonhardt captured a full-circle rainbow for the first time back in 2013 over Cotte...sloe Beach near Perth, little did he know he'd shone a light on an extremely rare phenomenon. The photo sat on his website for a year, and then NASA came calling, wanting to do a story on it. 'I started researching it and discovered how rare it really was.' The photo became a global sensation, with media outlets from all over world wanting to interview the man behind the lens. 'It was out of control,' Colin recalls. Colin made countless attempts over the years to recreate the shot, without success. That is, until he and his helicopter pilot found themselves flying over Kununurra in the Kimberley in Western Australia one wet season afternoon. After flying for hours they'd landed back in Kununurra when they saw a rain shower over Lake Argyle and decided to head back up. 'We flew into the edge of the rain shower, trying to recreate the scenario, and the rainbow just unfolded in front of our eyes.' For this aerial photographer, things have truly come full circle, and are perhaps even better the second time around with this amazing photo being featured as our January image in the 2021 Australian Weather Calendar - http://ow.ly/fjOn50CaVdf #BOMCalendar

18.01.2022 Gift Idea #2 Tents are getting so clever. Remember the stress of putting up a tent with your partner? Now they pop up with no need for a partner. This one even comes with in built lights and unlike so many pop-ups, it has a lot of big windows for ventilation for the tropics. I'm not convinced on the color black even though they say it keeps inside cooler?!? What do you think? https://www.exploreplanetearth.com.au//speedy-blackhole-po #ExplorePlanetEarth

17.01.2022 I have a new Nikon fully auto camera and having fun experimenting with it. So excuse the blurry bits, but how good is this zoom? I'm amazed at it's reach. Also, how weird to see big burdekin ducks in a tree. Anyhoo, I'm off to hunt some more critters. #ntbirds #mytopend

17.01.2022 Take the time to explore the lesser known treasures of Litchfield. Keep your eyes open as you travel and find beautiful gems like this little track to nowhere. #tourismtopend #visitlitchfieldnt #mytopend

16.01.2022 Throwback Thursday Who remembers this game? It kept me and my mates occupied for hours. Teach it to your kids this weekend. #nostalgia #goodolddays

14.01.2022 Hippy Wednesday! Hoping these beautiful flowers can brighten your day. We have hippeastrums popping up everywhere at the moment.

12.01.2022 I wonder if they realize how lucky they are? Normally they would be surrounded by 1 or 200 other campers. This year is quieter, slower and I believe more community minded. There will never be another year like it. Make the most of it.

11.01.2022 Our mates have the best toys. This is North Kimberley Transport 1963 Caterpillar Tractor. Yep, it's a tractor, apparently you could buy all sorts of attachments for them. Still going strong - they don't make them like they used too. Nick's currently helping us smooth out some new shady areas for camping next year (yep, we are being optimistic and hoping it's busy). He's a real artist with his machinery and manages not to disturb the native trees and create magic campsites. #litchfield #outbacknt

11.01.2022 So many birds about at the moment. As the waterholes start to dry up, our dam and sprinklers become more enticing.

10.01.2022 The Jabiru's real name is the Black-necked Stork but as you can see, it's neck isn't black but a very cool metallic green color. They are quite tall growing to 1.3m with a 2m wing span. It is the only species of stork in Australia. A common site near quiet waterholes, creeks and rivers around here. #birdlife #litchfield

10.01.2022 What an afternoon! Thanks to Bushfires NT , our neighbours and the guys from the local solar farm for helping. We are still watching for flare ups but feeling much safer now.

09.01.2022 Very proud of our local bower bird for building this elaborate nest. Apparently it helps to attract mates. #ntbirds

09.01.2022 Now you see him, now you don't. With barely a ripple this sizeable critter just disappears under the water.

06.01.2022 Can you believe that it was only 6 months ago that we began to understand the impact that Covid 19 might have on our lives? It seems many of us have taken stock of what is important and hopefully found some positive outcomes from what has been - and for some of us, continues to be a stressful time. Don't sweat the small stuff, there is always time to shave your legs tomorrow

06.01.2022 We are walking on a carpet of leaves and from out of this landscape of yellow and green comes our old dog, Drifter. This must be what Autumn looks like down south. #visitlitchfieldnt #campingwithdogs #mytopend

05.01.2022 It's not hard to find a private pool in Litchfield to enjoy all to yourself. Sure it helps to come off season, or midweek, but even on a busy day a bit of a walk along Florence Creek, Shady Creek Walk will often lead you to little treasures like this. #litchfield #visitlitchfield #tourismtopend

05.01.2022 Welcome back WA - we've missed you. Now the borders are open we hope to see you here soon. A big hug to all my mates in WA, it's been too long. xx

05.01.2022 Another great day for a swim and so many choices of places to go. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. #mytopend #visitlitchfieldnt #tourismtopend

05.01.2022 The old bull catcher in front of our shop looks like it has seen better days, but believe it or not, it still runs. Gotta love a Toyota. #visitlitchfieldnt #tourismtopend #toyota

05.01.2022 It's school holiday time! Here's a little something to sing along with the kids on your next car trip. Enjoy.

03.01.2022 Oh this is soooo cute. Watch if you need another reason to put a smile on your face.

02.01.2022 Wow, I thought they were joking.

02.01.2022 When you support your friend's business, you are supporting their dreams. I'm sure many of us have friends with small businesses or perhaps you have your own enterprise. This year it seems that the world has embraced social media and it's sometimes hard for the little guys to get their posts seen. Here are some tips that could help us all out. Cheers

01.01.2022 Relax, recharge and reflect. Time for some waterfall therapy. #tourismtopend #litchfieldnationalpark #visitlitchfield... #NTaustralia See more
