Our ability to adapt our literacy tutoring business ensured we were able to continue to deliver reading and writing support and successful learning outcomes to our students. Northern Beaches Council recognised our innovation and selected Literacy Circle to create this video as part of their Business Case Study for COVID-19 Innovation. But you know when you start something and are already committed, you have to finish . I am so glad I did . They came out so cool! The shapes are just as fun and much less time consuming . Our educators have been working hard to improve reading skills for children at home using our explicit phonics instruction program. The children have improved their reading skills as we quickly teach the correspondence between letters and sounds and follow with how to blend the sounds for reading. We start with using simple and pre...dictable short vowel sounds and progress to teach the main graphemes (letter combinations for a single sound) for all sounds. The free learn to read assessment will determine the learning plan for your child. Your child may start with predictable short vowel decoding and or will start to learn the long vowel graphemes.
