19.01.2022 Botox resistance is real and it is growing! Immunity to the neurotoxins Botox and Dysport is a hot topic at the moment. So what is it and how do you get it? Botox and Dysport have inactive proteins surrounding them. After years of botox injections, the body can form antibodies to the inactive proteins, the same way the body forms antibodies to viruses, or metabolises the Botox or Dysport drug exceptionally quickly. Some people complain of a sudden failure of Botox/Dysport bei...ng effective or that the effect is very short lived. So what can you do if it has happened to you? The good news is that there is a new generation of neurotoxin called Xeomin which does not have the inactive proteins surrounding the molecule, so antibodies can't be formed against it. The bad news is that Xeomon won't work if you have built up an immunity to it, however, if you have a decent break (at least 6 months), it is more likely to work. It is preferable to have Xeomin injections when you start having neurotoxin injections to prevent this happening altogether. Xeomin is a bit more expensive, but worth preventing problems down the track. See more

19.01.2022 A big heart felt thanks to all my clients for all the well wishes for my 88 year old mother. I am glad to be back in Lithgow after looking after my mother during and after her emergency surgery and time spent in ICU with cardiac issues prior to her surgery. My mother is still a bit fragile and weak, but in good hands with my brother looking after her now.

13.01.2022 A quick update on operations at Lithgow Laser Clinic; Cosmetic Injections will recommence next week. Prices are listed below; $15 per unit for the first 20 units... $13 per unit for the next 20 units $11 per unit for all subsequent units ie. from 40 units As per legal requirements, clients must have a consultation with a registered medical practitioner before their first injection/s. 2) Lithgow Laser Clinic has a Covid-19 Management Plan in place which is displayed in the clinic. The plan includes; SMS screening of clients before they attend their appointments Only one client on premesis at any one time First appoinments reserved for elderly, pregnant or immune compromised clients Touchless entry into and out of premesis-motion sensor at front door so clients don't have to touch door bell with signage regarding this under doorbell. Staff will touch doorhandles in and out of premesis. Hand Sanitiser given to clients on entry and exit of premesis Encourage touchless payments Touchless temperature check on every person (staff, clients and anyone else) entering the premesis to screen for fever Cleaning and disinfecting the workplace in accordance with Safe Work Australia Contactless pickup up of products-clients to be encouraged to use the honesty box system or have products posted. 3) A new lash growth serum will be in stock soon. It has had very promising results after a 3 month trial without the eye irritation that comes with a lot of other brands. 4) When ever possible, products made in Austalia will be stocked in preference to products from overseas to help boost the Australian economy.

However, this may change at any time with government announcements made each day in response to the trajectory of the corona virus.
