20.01.2022 The value of Local History collections in libraries Not all library collections are available as electronic resources, particularly local studies collections. The task of digitising collections is huge, and some items cannot be digitised due to copyright restrictions. What this means is, researchers may need to visit the library in person to conduct their research. Lithgow Library has many researchers who come to use our unique resources from this collection. ... Many of these visitors have expatriate links to Lithgow and are recogisable faces in the Lithgow community. One very recognisable face popped in this week to do some research. John Doyle aka Rampaging Roy Slaven was happy to take a break from his research to pose for a photo with library staff.
