22.01.2022 Lithgow Opens had a nail biting match but managed to get a win over Bathurst St Pats - the match was played down to the wire - Lithgow 5/176 defeated St Pats 2/166. Best Batter for Lithgow was Corey Mark (pictured) 52 not out followed by Blake Goldspink. 24 not out and Angus Baker 24. Lithgow best bowling Dom Dellabosca 2/19 and Sean Hutchings 0/5. Great match and enjoyed great sportsman ship from the St Pats team.

Best batting for Lithgow was Blake Goldspink 44 (pictured) Don Dellabosca 28 and Shaun Hutchings 27. The wickets were shared around with Sam Irvin 3/7 (pictured) and Michael Callan 2/8

16.01.2022 Tomorrow games in Lithgow for the U10s & U13s match in the BDJCA have been called off due to the conditions of the playing fields. All other age group that are playing in Bathurst are still on at this stage BDJCA are monitoring the weather and will make a decision tomorrow morning.

13.01.2022 Lithgow Opens defeated Stannies 4s today. Lithgow bowled Stannies out for 121 and managed to chase down the runs. Best batters were Pawan Gajula 53 not out and Lachlan Thompson 22 not out. Best bowling Pawan Gajula 3/21 and Kane Hogan 2/16 (pictured) followed by Isaiah Wren 1/4. Great game, great sportsmanship. Special thank you to Tony Dellabosca and Les Goldspink for umpiring.

11.01.2022 Today Lithgow District U/14 played Blue Mountains. Lithgow bowled Blue Mountains for 105 with Harry Knight claiming 4 wickets. Lithgow chased down the target with Eli Morris scoring 62 n.o and Murray Staines 39 n.o in a 103 run partnership. The boys fielding was outstanding with a great catch from Jack Luka ( pictured with little brother Harry) and a tremendous run out from Archie Morris (pictured). Thanks goes out to Jo Staines and Suzy Morris for the awesome Salad rolls at lunch time.

10.01.2022 Lithgow Under 10s finished a phenomenal season on Saturday in bathurst against RUCC, all season the boys played and trained exceptionally well and are becoming quality cricket players. 10.01.2022 The young cricketer who suffers a hearing impairment and plays for a Lithgow team, will spend next week in Geelong competing at the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC).

09.01.2022 Hey Juniors Its getting towards Christmas and as a group we were looking to have a get together for all the teams this Friday (6 December) at Tony Luchetti Sportsground at 4.30pm for some fun games and a sausage sandwich to celebrate the start of the cricket and festive seasons. It will be for all the junior teams and we will mix teams for some 20/twenty action and some sausage sizzle yummies. Hope you can make it. Merry Christmas

Bathurst have invited any interested players to trial for their district teams. 04.01.2022 Opens were played on turf today in Lithow. Lithgow batted first and were all out for 89. Top scorers Corey Mark 19, Hayden Wren 36 and Luke thompson 10. ORC chased the runs down with 2 out which were both brillant catches from Michael Callen. Best bowling figures Sam Irvin 1/6 Blake Goldspink 0/0, James Luck 0/8 and Dom Dellabosca 1/18.

02.01.2022 In regards to our last message, please be aware that the message was regarding Representative District Cricket, which in the past has only involved the older kids. Junior cricket will still be happening, we will field teams in the various age groups ( just the same as last year) and play in the Bathurst Junior cricket competition. Information will soon be available as to when registration is, when the season hits off and the new COVIDSAFE changes that need to be adhered to.
