18.01.2022 Letter to Members LHA Inc ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING A friendly reminder that the Board is meeting again tonight at 7.00pm at the Clubhouse and we need your help.... Thanks Dear Members LHA held their Annual General Meeting last night and whilst we are very happy to welcome two new members to the Board we are still looking for people to fill two vacant positions so hockey can go ahead in Lithgow. Unless we are able to fill the positions of Secretary and Treasurer, there will be no hockey in Lithgow. This means NO hockey whatsoever. No training, no competition games and no Premier League games or teams. LHA Board meet once a month and the position will be for a period of nine months as our regular AGM is held at the end of March each year. Most of the work is required during our winter competition, which luckily this year is almost half over. If anyone can please help we are in desperate need for your assistance. It would be devasting to see Lithgow Hockey fold after its over 75 year history of producing some if the best hockey players in the state, including several hundred state players in all age groups and several Australian players. We are holding another meeting on Wednesday 1st July 2020 at 7.00pm in the Clubhouse. Please attend, we need your help. Kind regards Lithgow Hockey Association Inc. Board Members See more

16.01.2022 In accordance with the recent update by the Department of Health and as per advice from Hockey NSW the following recommendations were introduced from the 19th August. Spectators Lithgow Hockey Association is required to limit spectators to one parent only where a child requires parental supervision during our sporting activity. Spectator means a person not playing, not coaching or a manager of a team. not an um...pire and is not a Carer of a junior playing sport. As a board we understand that you may have questions regarding what a spectator is. The examples below provide some guidance around who is a spectator. If it is a junior competition and a parent has a child/children playing and the other child is 2 years old. This is ok to enter but only if necessary. If it is a junior competition and a parent with other children is not able to find someone to care for the other children. This is OK if friends are not with the family. If it is a senior competition and the husband is playing and the wife wants to come along or relative and friends of the person playing want to come along. This is NOT Ok If it is a senior competition and the member is a parent with no one to look after child/children. The children are ok to enter but only if necessary and as long as there are no friends with the children. If it is a senior competition with a child U18 playing in the senior competition than 1 parent can enter This is ok Semi-Professional Competitions and can I travel to play in these competitions Western Premier League Sydney Hockey, Sydney Womens Hockey league and Hunter Premier League are all classed as Semi Professional competitions and will still be able to continue. Players can travel to participate in these competitions. All Individuals should consider whether it is necessary to participate in these activities at this time, if they are members of a club not located within their local area. It is imperative that all elements of the competition/venues COVID Safety Plans continued to be adhered to. The LHA Board thank you for understanding so far through these times. Regards Barry Sansom President See more

10.01.2022 Lithgow Womens Premier league team will be taking on St Pats in the Grand Final this Saturday . LHA continues to comply with HNSW and NSW government recommendations around spectators at games, this means that current entry conditions remain in place We are fortunate that there are quite a few spectator points that can be utilised from around the fence line of the hockey complex.... If spectators elect to view the game from outside of the premises, they have an individual responsibility to ensure that they are following all social-distancing and Covid Rules. It is also important to remember that the precinct around the Lithgow Hockey complex is a no alcohol precinct and fines apply to individuals that are found to be in breach of this ruling.
