20.01.2022 A few updates. Since I am currently looking after my wife who recently underwent a knee replacement, things have been a bit slow. Here are a few images of recent items for the show.

19.01.2022 I hope all my friends out there were ok in the severe wind overnight. We did suffer one failure, the main pole for the megatree did bend thanks to gusts over 100kmh. We do have a spare pole so will endeavour to replace it early next week.

16.01.2022 Christmas Every Day, by Simple Plan was part of our 2020 show.

16.01.2022 Working on a new prop to be mounted on the roof this year, so a trip to Bunnings for conduit, Thompson’s Bolts & Bearings for the thread bar and nuts, and laser cut plywood as a spacer between the thread bar and conduit. Just have to finish the mounting for the house and it can go up on the weekend.

13.01.2022 Beginning to rebuild the controllers for the 2020 display. This old box was located in the rose garden and will be replaced by a shiny new box that has a lot more room, and an extra power supply.

13.01.2022 Second last night of Lights this year. Tomorrow I'll be updating controllers, so if that goes bad, there may not be a complete show, sorry, but it's testing time for the newer firmware now, ready for next year :)

13.01.2022 Well lights finished a couple of days ago, most are away in the shed and we are winding down for the year. Total raised for Redkite was $2500, so a big thanks to everyone who visited, donated and even just came to enjoy the lights. See you in 2020!

12.01.2022 On Saturday the 31st of October, we will be running a small Halloween display here at LithgowLights. This will be entirely weather dependent, so if it's wet, we will not be operating, but may consider rescheduling it to Sunday evening, again depending on weather. Hours are 7pm-8-30pm, or until we run out of lollies, or it rains. We will be operating with social distancing, and single family groups will be allowed down the front path to collect lollies which will be placed on ...a barrel for the children to collect. The first 30 or so families will also get a small coffin with the lollies inside. Parents please walk with the children so they keep to the path and dont grab the lights that are close by. We will also be wearing scary masks, so be aware of that as well (A werewolf, Pennywise and Freddy Krueger)

10.01.2022 Paddock is mowed ready for people tonight. Please remember to stay in or around your own cars if you visit us over the next few days, just to maintain social distance recommendations due to the higher than average expected visitors. Big thanks to Erins Quality Outdoor Power Centre for having the parts I needed for the mower in stock too.

10.01.2022 This box will replace the one driving the megatree for 2020. Still not built the new tree, and I cant do it yet, which explains why the tree pole is still up in the front yard.

09.01.2022 Apparently Santa went for a little drive around Lithgow today, spreading a bit of cheer we have lost due to the recent bushfires in the area. Keep an eye out at Lithgowlights between 8 and 9 pm tonight as we believe he might call in for a visit too.

08.01.2022 Well Halloween is done for the year, thanks to those who visited. If you did not manage to get here, or wanted another of our coffins, we still have about 8 or so left. Please message us and we will put one aside to be picked up before Tuesday afternoon this week. They will be allocated in order of the PM's received

07.01.2022 An upgrade to the Jet Ski’s controller meant a new temporary laser cut base and new laser cut double height PSU holders got used. (Repost as last one went strange)

06.01.2022 The new Bethlehem star is almost complete. Just need to add the connection for the pixels, a few power injection cables and the 2 guy wires on the sides and it's done. Plan on a test run in the shed (It's got some serious custom model and sub models to be created) sometime in the next couple of days.

05.01.2022 Started to put up the lights again. Yeah it's early, but I have a number of new items that need time to get right, so it's a couple of weeks earlier than normal, but we might have a small Halloween show, with some giveaways for the first few lucky visitors Managed to wash the house, roof, did the lawns, trimmed the trees, shrubs and hedges, plus put a few of the controllers out in the yard already. Plan on putting some lights up over the next few days so I can start testing s...ome of the new items such as: 1: New megatree and star 2: New icicles (With a brand new controller and over twice as many LED's) 3: New window surrounds 4: New Bethlehem star 5: New Ice queen Chromaflake (Try saying that 3 times fast) 6: The tree and shrub lights will be modified once they get taken out of storage. 7: House outline is now incorporated into the icicles, so have to work out how that looks

03.01.2022 Well we have a total of 19,982 lights up so far, with another 50 or so left to go up to hit the 20,000 light mark. Over the next few nights we plan on a bit of testing, but we will be running from December 1, 8pm until 10:30pm, with some nights extending until 11pm.
