24.01.2022 Its fact Tuesday, which means another interesting fact about eyes. So here goes... Did you know that the eye muscle is the fastest reacting muscle in the whole... body and that is why we say "in the blink of an eye" when something happens quickly? It contracts in less than 1/100th of a second and a blink usually lasts for 100 to 150 milliseconds. See more

24.01.2022 Weve all heard the term "blind spot" but what exactly is it? While it may sound like a physical defect, it turns out that everyone actually has one and its a... small area within our visual field that contains no detected vision. 22.01.2022 Fact or fiction? Do carrots really improve vision? Some say yes and some say no but as a rule of thumb, carrots are good sources of lutein and beta carotene, which are antioxidants that benefit eye health and protect against age-related degenerative eye diseases.

16.01.2022 Armenian photographer Suren Manvelyan created a gripping Animal Eyes close-up photo series. His pictures reveal the sort of vibrant colours and intricate detail...s that would even make for a beautiful poster, and seeing something thats hidden from the naked eye is always the beauty of macro photography. With such close photos, one is able to see details such as the irises colour gradients, textures, patterns and even tiny blood vessels, causing these eyes to look like alien landscapes.

11.01.2022 Another reminder to discuss eye protection with our customers. Evidently the tradesman in these photos was operating an angle grinder when the disc disintegrate...d into pieces, pieces flying off in different directions, one piece lodging in a wall, and another embedded itself in the tradies safety lens! How close was that to a horrific injury! . High impact resistant lens materials for our tradies is a must!!! (Thanks James Dinardo for sharing). See more
