Our aim is to listen to community voices, which will inform the development of programs to address community needs. Our survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete. You can respond to all the sections or just ones that are most important to you and your family. 21.01.2022 You are eligible to apply if you are studying in one of the following in 2021: year 10, 11 or 12 at a NSW high school or equivalent at a TAFE college a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship a VET subject at a NSW high school.... You must also be either a social housing client or living in out-of-home-care. This can include: living in public housing, including Aboriginal housing being on the NSW Housing Register (wait list) receiving private rental assistance from DCJ (not Centrelink) receiving a Rent Choice product living in community housing/Aboriginal community housing living in housing provided by a Local Aboriginal Land Council living in Supported Accommodation through a Specialist Homelessness Service Provider living in statutory, supported or voluntary out-of-home care.

11.01.2022 Leanne from LINC (Lithgow Information and Neighborhood Centre) has created a penpal program to connect the elderly in nursing homes and lonely residents who rec...eive meals-on-wheels and other services to community locals The locals write letters and email to the specific penpal email address, This is to keep safety and privacy issues protected for both parties Leanne will then print off copies and arrange distribution to different recipients If anyone would like to say hi, share some basic knowledge, get their kids to draw pictures, etc, anything that may brighten their day, and give them a smile, the comment below Leanne is sharing with the email address included "We have received another amazing pile of letters from young inspiring authors and artist which will be delivered tomorrow :) Can i please ask that people send their letters to our email - they may only be one way at the moment but the staff have explained the smiles are just beautiful- who will give us the next mailbag full - *** [email protected] **** COVID19 may have you transitioning back, but for our elderly they still remain isolated and lonely - have a heart write a letter xx" Please share - many thx

10.01.2022 to all our locals and whoever would like to join in my friend Leanne has set up this awesome initiative to connect with vulnerable people in our community, whet...her it be elders in group homes or others isolated and are connected to services and supports such as meals-on-wheels we can write them a letter and share some stories. Keeping personal and privacy concerns addressed, they have set up an email system where we send our letters to, they will print off and send out, then any letters received by them will be emailed back to participants ***NOTE*** email is.... 01.01.2022 Over the past few months I have been blessed by a large number of generous people reaching out to me to forward on an assortment of items, from wools, fabrics, ...craft items, and more. These acts of kindness and generosity will help to brighten the day of many as we use them for our Community Connections group projects, made into sellable items to fundraise for our group, and also pay-it-forward projects we are in progress of arranging for our Lithgow community.
