18.01.2022 Hello parents, autumn is upon us, with winter just around the corner. Can I get you all to think about your swimming plans for term 2 and 3. If your little person or people tend to get sick, or you dont like coming out in the cold perhaps think about having a term or 2 off swimming. Playing winter sports is important as well as having a little break from things reignites a desire to do well when they return.... On the flip side, the pool is the warmest place to be during the chilly months and it is a myth that wet hair and cold make people sick. Please let me know what you would like to do in the next week or so.

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, in the draft fees and charges document from council, they are proposing to charge entry to learn to swim students and parents that attend any swimming lessons outside of councils lessons (us) i.e if you attend councils lessons you get in free, if you choose to swim with me, you will have to pay. This is on top of a 10% increase to my lane hire charges. I believe this is unfair and discriminatory for those of you who have made the choice to use a private swim ins...tructor. I encourage you to have your say regarding these charges. Send council an email with your concerns. Please note this is only a proposal at this stage and needs to be voted on at a council meeting, but you need to have your say. The full document is available on councils website (fees and charges document) Click on draft operational plan,scroll to the bottom, click on fees and charges. 03.01.2022 Hello everyone. Council had decided to close the aquatic centre for a period of 4 weeks from tomorrow. Which means there are no more lessons for the duration of the term. A credit will be given for the last lessons of the term. Fingers crossed we will see you next term

02.01.2022 Hi Parents and grandparents and friends of little people, to get the most out of lessons and to get your little people ready for lessons it is so important to get them into the water at times other than in a lesson. They need to be comfortable in the water and to be able to fall over, get splashed in the face and move their bodies in the water. Pour water over their face in the bath, blow bubbles and make it fun. ... I encourage you all to book a lane and get down and use the pool on non lesson days or after your lesson. Swimming is a skill for life.
