25.01.2022 Heres a photo of ResourceSmart Schools Facilitator Ash Bedford visiting his local sustainable salon last week. Ash was super happy with his fresh haircut but even happier knowing that his hair will be recycled, either used for compost or to help clean up oil spills. Head to https://sustainablesalons.org/ to find your nearest sustainable salon or ask your current hairdresser if theyd be keen to get involved.... Hair has a huge amount of nutrients that really should be going back into the soil rather than ending up in landfill. What are some examples of how you use the power of your $$ to promote positive change and sustainability in your community?
24.01.2022 Say hello to the Little Green Wagons new best friend, the little blue wagon This newest addition will be used at future community events to help minimise the use of disposable cutlery and plates, which often end up in landfill. Instead, when purchasing food at an event you will have the option to borrow reusable plates and cutlery and wash them up when you are done, therefore avoiding landfill. ... We will be launching the little blue wagon at the Creswick Market on Saturday the 21st March with our great friend Costa from the ABC. Come check it out and help us to minimise waste in the future
