Please bring hats, water, sunscreen and any food your family needs for the morning (we can't do shared food). ... There are a lot of things we will have to do differently to keep meeting at our usual location so I will talk with everyone on Monday and we can decide what we want to do. If you or anyone in your family is sick though, please stay home and let me know and I'll contact you to talk through what the options are for playgroup. Looking forward to catching up soon!

16.01.2022 Hi all, Playgroup will be on tomorrow and we will review the situation from there. In response to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the advice of the Townsville Public Health Unit please STAY HOME FROM PLAYGROUP if:... 1 - you or your children have ANY symptoms like sore throat, cough, fever, runny nose 2 - you have been overseas in the last 14 days; 3 - you have had direct contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 If you can't come to playgroup because you are unwell - let me know so we can keep looking out for each other. Some simple changes at playgroup will help protect those who are vulnerable to Covid-19 a. Please refrain from shaking hands, hugging or kissing b. Use tissues to cover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze c. wash hands with sanitiser or soap and water often and especially after coughing/sneezing d. If you see a child put toys in their mouth please clean the toy with provided wipes or glen-20 Our playgroup is responding to Covid-19 as new information is released and as advise from health authorities changes. At this time, key actions are to take extra hygiene precautions and prevent vulnerable people from being exposed to people sick with the virus. General information: The situation around Covid-19 is a rapidly changing one. At this time there has been only 1 case of the virus in NQ. The current Public Health advise is that it is appropriate for us to continue our normal activities with special attention paid to hygiene and cleanliness. Covid-19 causes mild respiratory symptoms in most people (~80%) but has so far had a death rate of about 5% (1 in 20) of people who are diagnosed with the disease (up to 15-25% for people over 80years.) Other people more likely to become very sick are people over 55 and people with chronic illnesses such as Asthma, COPD, diabetes and heart disease. Unfortunately much is unknown at this time The goal of precautions is to slow down disease spread to ensure people can access good medical treatment and protect those most vulnerable to a serious illness. To care for our neighbours the best thing we can do is have good hygiene and stay home if we are sick. for further information: Covid-19 advise health advise line: 1800 020 080 (24hrs, 7 days a week) Dept. of Health: https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-hea QLD Health: https://www.qld.gov.au//conditions/he/coronavirus-covid-19 World Health Organisation: https://www.who.int/emergen/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019 #covid19 #coronavirus #washyourhands #useatissue #stayinghome #loveyourneighbour

10.01.2022 Hi all, We have decided that while we are required to keep children 1.5m apart and clean everything before and after each use due to Covid-19, Playgroup sadly will not be meeting.
