This has been the first excursion since COVID-19, so our Little Friends were SUPER excited ... They engaged in a range of outdoor activities, including imaginary play, jumping, hula hooping, and creative arts. Thursday’s Little Friends have been engaging in sensory play this morning by playing & making all sorts of shapes & letters with play dough So... why do we add this in to early childhood education? Sensory play is great in various ways! This type of play facilitates exploration and naturally encourages children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. Spending time stimulating their senses helps children develop cognitively, linguistically, socially and emotionally, physically and creatively.
