25.01.2022 After travelling in the bus, we returned to Western Australia and settled in a teeny tiny town in the South West called Yarloop. The area was so reminiscent of my childhood with the soft yellow colours in the dry summer and the crisp deep greens of stock fodder in winter, the old timber mill and the timber mill cottages, there was no end to inspiring imagery for my photography. Each year I would coordinate outfits for the kids and bribe them into a Christmas card photo - shamelessly bribe ha ha. Thankfully our biggest human is truly brilliant at wrangling the smaller humans into order. I love styling the kids! Aleza & Family xx

24.01.2022 It truly is incredible how much you take it for granted that life is going to have bumps, but tragedy is what you see on the telly, not to your family home. In January 2016, a massive bushfire ripped through the small South West West Australian town of Yarloop. The loss was absolute for three quarters of the town, including the family home that we moved into after finishing our bus travels. So many well-meaning people said "at least you'r...e all alive", yeah, we are are, but we also lost so many memories. Amongst so many other things, the kids all had their own memory boxes filled with special items and photos and stories from their childhood, ready for when they turned 18 and they could reflect on their childhood as they entered their adulthood. It hurt, I genuinely wept as the two eldest kids turned 18 without their boxed childhood. I will no doubt have more ugly cry as they all age into adulthood. How is this related to what I am doing today? It means that I have learned a deeper sense of gratitude and joy for existing in the now. It also means I have learned to back up my photos with both prints and cloud storage! Aleza & Family xx See more

16.01.2022 A huge thank you for popping by to visit our little space! As a small business, word of mouth is invaluable, please do take a moment to save/like/comment/share a post that inspires you. Every little bit helps! Aleza & Family xx

10.01.2022 There's definitely a story to this business name! Our beautiful grandma Joy was an inspiring matriarch, she taught us how to stand up for what we believe, to set an example of being the best we can be, to value family, to be a good person. I am so grateful for her influence and visits with her were always a JOY. When we were pregnant with our last baby, there were so many beautiful names to choose from, although if I am honest most of th...e names we loved I struggled to pronounce (Dadda is from Pakistan). I asked Malik if we could ensure we incorporate JOY into baby's name and Haaniya is the perfect choice, meaning "brings joy" which is perfect of course, because she brings all of us much JOY, every day. And so, Little JOY Clothing is a perfect fit to represent where we started, what we are, what we want to share. Aleza & Family xx See more

07.01.2022 Details, details, details! As a mama, I love practical but I love beautiful just as much. I think this jacket has nailed it Those beautiful cuffs means you can fold them back for fun stripes for shorter arms, extend and still look good as those arms insist on growing longer! The short front means the jacket will still look great as your child grows taller. ... It was a lot of fun thinking through how to make sure this jacket was as practical and fabulous as possible! 03.01.2022 The third in our set of three darling jackets - I am honestly torn which colour I like best! This photo shows the cuffs folded back and they are so good! Almost as good as the super cute tails No zippers, no fiddly buttons, just a couple of snaps if you want to close the jacket (although it looks just as good open!), no constricting collar.

02.01.2022 ~ INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CONSCIENCE ~ "The task of the United Nations to save future generations from the scourge of war requires transformation towards a culture of peace, which consists of values, attitudes and behaviours that reflect and inspire social interaction and sharing based on the principles of freedom, justice and democracy, all human rights, tolerance and solidarity, that reject violence and endeavour to prevent conflicts by tackling their root c...auses to solve problems through dialogue and negotiation and that guarantee the full exercise of all rights and the means to participate fully in the development process of their society." un.org/en/observances/conscience-day This is deeply meaningful to me and I am loving that there are open social platforms that enable us all to exchange ideas and educate ourselves towards a future that encourages simple decency for all. To promote 'a culture of peace with love and conscience' What does this International Day of Conscience mean to you? See more

02.01.2022 A dream this big would never have come to life without the love, support, and skills of my incredible network. You've met my six walking inspirations (the kids!) and my wonderfully patient husband, and my parents, but now I would like to publicly thank: Patricia - who has met with me weekly to discuss branding, design files, website design, logo designs, and myriads of tiny details you just don't realise goes into creating a new business. Her attention to d...etail, her creative flair, her humour, and her friendship has been invaluable. Thank you Adam - who has generously shared his time and skills to brainstorm the big business thinking, putting together a business plan, (y'all want to ever apply to NEIS, I have the info for you!) financial plan, big picture thinking to ensure there is a direction to follow. His patience, ability to draw out the right information and document (speedy fingers!) and humour has been a deeply appreciated gift. Thank you There are many honourable mentions: my friends for all of their love and support and feedback, you cannot buy that. My other mum, Mel (the big kids' dad's wife ... we love her!) for getting me set up with bookkeeping, my fabulous manufacturers, Ash & Kara from Visionise, amazing client support from DHL ... like I said, there are so many things that go into building a small business and I am deeply grateful and filled with JOY that this is my new adventure. 02.01.2022 No April Fools joke here - this fabulous jacket is absolutely my dream design. So much fabulous packed into it! I'm an absolute sucker for that striped lining - looks fabulous paired with other pieces in the {Circus} range! Made from a fabulously sturdy cotton twill with a dash of elastane, this jacket is all about looking fabulous AND being comfortable. Winning!

02.01.2022 I would love to hear from you: what's your fave colour? What is your favourite detail? Is there anything you would add or take away? Aleza xx
