20.01.2022 Wish I could clone this wonderful, versatile pony. Poppy is 27yrs old, has been with me for 13yrs and has never needed the vet. She has evented, hack shows, dressage, pony club, looked after absolute beginners to helping the more experienced develop a better feel. Love this little horse.

18.01.2022 Sometimes it’s just too hot on the arena for a lesson. So, we have the lesson on a ride out on the property.

14.01.2022 Dear members, since the Moving Forward magazine was issued, ESA has retracted statements regarding travelling with your horses. Upon advice from SAPOL and the ...Office of Rec, Sport & Racing, we have been advised that people may travel with their horses for lessons, recreational riding and medical requirements. The Minister for Sport, Corey Wingard advised us yesterday that horse riding is important for both mental and physical health, and that exercise is encouraged by the Department of Health at this difficult time. Minister Wingard's recommendation was to "keep it local" and to abide by the social distancing guidelines in place. Once again, we remind members that ESA is not creating or enforcing these guidelines. We are sharing the government information as it comes to us. Stay safe and continue to care for and enjoy your horses.

10.01.2022 What a fantastic turnout in Cartmel this evening for the Christmas light switch on. Thank you Rachel Holcroft and the organising team for inviting us to take... part once again - we loved every minute of it. Our Model mare Anja made me so proud Despite huge crowds in the centre of the village and very little space she was not in the slightest bit phased and took it all in her stride. Thanks to Holly, Sarah, Kit and JB for lighting the way and Tamara, Sylvia and various members of the public for helping clear the way so we could get Santa to his Grotto! Heres a few snippets we hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed doing See more

09.01.2022 Today remember how far you have come...

05.01.2022 The saddest thing Ive ever seen Is a woman on a horse that does not believe she is good enough to be there. Do not compare yourself. There is only this mome...nt, this horse. Your hands, seat, voice and leg, define the parameters of the entire world for this horse. What anyone else is doing, or has ever done, does NOT matter. Whomever it is that you look up to or feel less than Is in turn, looking up to another rider, wishing to aspire to that level. So be content where you are You are blessed! YOU are your only competition Just be better today than you were yesterday. Try hard for this horse you ride and try hard for yourself. Most of all, enjoy this time; Every moment. Every stride. Every cue that is answered with a response. Cherish this partnership Know, that you are exactly where you are supposed to be --Amye Photo credit Lee Willis
