25.01.2022 FRIENDS PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!! I have always kept a blanket over my dogs kennels to make them feel more secure. Thank God my husband wakes up early or I may ha...ve woken up to a dead puppy. Instead My husband found our 14 week old puppy exhausted, hanging from the top of his kennel. Kash had pulled in the blanket, chewed a hole in it, got his head stuck and then spun around creating a noose around his neck. He was so tired, he wouldnt have been able to hold himself up much longer. I work in animal welfare and we often tell people to cover a puppys kennel at night. I will NEVER give that advice again. Please SHARE so that this doesnt happen to someone elses dog. The result could have been so much worse! See more

25.01.2022 HEROIC ACTIONS OF SUNSHINE COAST WOMAN RECOGNISED A Queensland paramedic said quick action from a Maroochydore woman saved a passenger who was having a seizu...re on a Sunshine Coast bus. Samara Moore who has an intellectual disability was on a bus in Bli Bli last month when she noticed the woman in her 30s in distress, she quickly alerted the bus driver who called the ambulance. Dave Birch said Ms Moore continued to assist paramedics once they were on scene. "Samara sat across from the girl and waited till we arrived and then gave us all the details like what her seizure looked like, how long she had been seizing which is very important information which we require when treating such emergencies," he said. She has been recognised with an award from the Queensland Ambulance Service. Samara was very excited to receive the accolade. "My old teachers at my old school will be happy with me" "I stepped up in the big wide world helping people out,"she said. Her mother Mary Moore said it was a very special day for the family. "So proud of everything that she has learnt through her life it comes to a day like this you know there is so many steps that she has climbed and for this its just so special,"she said.

25.01.2022 I am posting this on behalf an elderly friend. She lost her beloved Dalmatian recently and was given another one, but unfortunately the dog is too boisterous fo...r her. My friends husband has just been moved into a Nursing Home and this is all proving too much for her. The Dalmatian is 8 years old, a de-sexed female and is a beautiful dog, but just too lively for my friend. She has approached the RSPCA but apparently they are not taking any dogs at the mind. Im hoping someone is looking for an energetic lively dog - I would imagine she would need plenty of space to run around in. 07.01.2022 Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tai...l, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the overworked shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them. As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one. I rescued a human today.

02.01.2022 UPDATE: SHAGY & NATHANS STORY: STOLEN FROM CIRCULAR QUAY, SYDNEY 30/08/20 @ approx 2pm. 0406 834 001 with ANY INFO. Hello everyone. We have spoken to N...athan (the dogs owner). Her name is SHAGY. He rescued Shaggy from a skip bin out the back of Surry Hills just before Christmas 2019. She had a shopping trolley on top of her as well He took her to Redfern Vet and arranged for antibiotics. Shagy was almost dead when Nathan found her. The vet allegedly told Nathan that she was so badly neglected and malnourished that the people listed on her microchip had obviously abused her. He hand fed her small amounts and nursed her back to health. Nathan goes without so he can give her quality food ~ Im very picky about what she eats Nathan told me. I saved her but really she saved me. Nathan has carried Shagy everywhere since the day he saved her. I promised her I would look after her until the day she dies. He went to the bathroom for 2 mins on Sunday 30/08/20 @ 2pm and when he came back she was gone. Nathan started yelling for help but nobody helped.. everyone thought I was crazy. Nathan told me he approached a policeman who promised to come back but never did. All I could do was sit on my bed and cry. Nathan is still sitting on his bed waiting for Shagy to come home. If you know something please say something and please share the buggery out of this. Nathan & Shagy not only belong together but they need each other. Arthur & Co. will be assisting with anything Shagy needs (vets, food etc) once she is found. See more

Her wounds around her chin, throat and neck are healing and she will be okay, albeit still nervous around other dogs. I am sure they will be relieved to know and happy to pay her vet bill.
