25.01.2022 This morning we painted some beautiful canvases! I cant wait to pull the masking tape off!

25.01.2022 Ivy and Quinn were in their element this morning when they discovered a new outdoor obstacle

24.01.2022 A beautiful start to our morning exploring bugs! This morning Quinn found our basket of insects and began to line them up, with each new animal she would make a new sound which i believe was the animals sound she was trying to copy. Hunter walked on over and also wanted to join in the fun which involved moving Quinns perfect line of insects. This really frustrated Quinn and she began to get a big cranky with Hunter each time he did it. I stepped in and explained to Quinn that... maybe Hunter might like to play with the extra bugs she had left over in the basket. She nodded her head which told me she understood what i was saying and she turned to the basket to carefully select which bugs she would give to Hunter. Its a lot harder for younger children to learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect as they can generally get quite frustrated with limited language and understanding. Its wonderful to see Quinn beginning to work through these emotions and include her friends in her play.

24.01.2022 Lunch time is such an important time of the day not only to fuel childrens tummys but sitting around a table teaches social skills, manners, etc.

21.01.2022 A REALLY simple activity for Mr Hunter who loves to use the spray bottles! 2 layers of paper towel with beautiful Texta drawing on the bottom piece. When they get wet the magic happens.

20.01.2022 A little bit of doctor play last week Welcome back to care Maddison and Harrie, its lovely to see your smiling faces and great to see you so excited to play with your friends :) Maddi headed straight to our little office set up this morning and was totally loving the keyboard. she began to pretend to be a doctor and was asking her friends what they were at the doctors for and if they needed any medicine. Maddi is extremely confident in contributing her ideas and experience...s in play whether it be small or large group discussions and spends a lot of her days interacting with others to explore ideas and concepts, clarify and challenge thinking, negotiate and share new understandings. Maddi is such a lovely, caring friend and enjoys including herself in all role play activities. EYLF Outcome 5.1

09.01.2022 Harry has loved the trains since being back! Welcome back Harrie! Its so nice to see you back from isolation and enjoying the trains again! You have come back with so much confidence, excitement and a whole lot more creativity! You created such a wonderful train track today that went underneath the table, up and over a pillow and even under out art desk! It was so lovely to sit back quietly and observe you as you chatted to yourself about what kind of trains you were playing ...with, the colours of them and you even gave them names! When you sit alone and play with trains you show me that you can use play to investigate, imagine and explore ideas as well as follow and extend your own interests with enthusiasm, energy and concentration EYLF Outcome 4.1

08.01.2022 Although this activity may seem super basic its so important for Children to build up the teeny tiny muscles in their fingers and simple activities like this do just the trick! Hunter had so much fun with this activity and spent so much time here persisting until he could get them all off!

08.01.2022 This morning Quinn and Hunter had such a wonderful time sharing the bells and laughing as each one of them rang their bell! Over the past few weeks Quinn has began to: Show interest in other children and being part of a group... Engage in and contribute to shared play experiences. Express a wide range of emotions, thoughts and views constructively. Empathise with and express concern for others. Display awareness of, and respect for others perspectives. Reflect on their actions and consider consequences for others. Quinn is really turning into a little girl and enjoying the process of making friends and engaging with her peers through play! EYLF Outcome 1.4

05.01.2022 Ivy is really enjoying learning and matching colours and shapes lately!

05.01.2022 A wonderful colour matching activity for ivy this afternoon! She began by getting out the beanbags and laying them in a line next to each other. Ivy then walked around the room searching for toys that matched the colours of the beanbags. She found the bells and building blocks and began to match the colours with the beanbags as close as possible to the colours. Ivy is an extremely curious, confident and creative little lady and loves a challenge. As she continued to play I s...tood back and watched but also gave her little challenges such as asking questions about different shades of the same colour etc. Ivy loves some quiet time to play on her own and each days shows the ability to initiate and contribute to play experiences emerging from her own idea. I loved watching Ivy through this experience! WYLF Outcome 4.1

04.01.2022 Been a little bit slack posting activities so just playing catch up a little. Maddison is showing such an interested in numbers lately so a little invitation to count was good fun!

03.01.2022 Quinn took a quiet moment today to read a little story. she immediatly began humming the tune to baby Shark. "ohh ohh, ouch" she said to me!

03.01.2022 To extend on Harries interest in Trains this week we did some train painting!! Harrie isnt usually into craft activities but as soon as i asked him if he wanted to make train tracks he was straight up at the table! Together we spoke about the different colours he was using and he told me all about the train shows he likes to watch on t.v. I would love to be able to introduce more craft activities in the future through Harries interests.... EYLF Outcome 4.4
