25.01.2022 First day back today and what a lovely day we had. After discussing what was happening around Australia currently, the children expressed concern...particularly for our wildlife. We talked about ways in which we can help and there were some lovely suggestions, one of which was to have a bake sale. So thats what we did...we made the cakes in the morning and while waiting for them to cool we set up the stall and made pictures and posters to display. The children put so much effort in and I am super proud of them. #Australia #savethewildlife #littleacorns #everybithelps

The children are really enjoying hands on learning about the Indigenous culture and lives of the first people of Australia. #NAIDOC #learningexperiences

19.01.2022 THE GREAT OUTDOORS Lets talk risky play....... Risky play is a natural and vital part of childrens play, its provides opportunity for challenge, testing limits & exploring boundaries. Its very important to give them the opportunity to manage situations & access risks. ... Taking such risks often leads to new learning experiences or improving and developing acquired skills. Being outside in nature and all it has to offer opened up lots of opportunities and experiences today, we are lucky to have this on our doorstep #littleacorns #OSHC See more

Literacy, maths, science, exploration and social skills were all being used and developed during this time...this is why I love these provocations...they open up so much potential for learning for ALL ages and ALL abilities.
