24.01.2022 Head on down to Sunshine Coast Uni today from 9-1 to check out the Baby Fair! There are so many great vendors waiting to chat with you about everything pregnancy, birth and parenthood! Aaron will be there with his wonderful sidekick, Indie if you have any cloth nappy questions. I am at home with a fussy newborn which I am a bit sad about as I was really looking forward to checking out all the stalls for myself! I am definitely saving our money by not attending because I wouldnt have been able to help myself, there are so many beautiful things I would have had to buy!
23.01.2022 So one of my favourite parts of our Little Beach Bums journey so far has been discovering like-minded local businesses. There is an overwhelming amount of amazing products and services available to new parents on the Sunshine Coast, and the list is continually growing! We do want to give a little shout out to one business in particular though - Yoga Kin is a beautiful new space opening in Wurtulla this week that will be offering yoga classes for fertility, pregnancy, birth an...d mums and bubs - as well as a variety of other types of therapies. The best part is, this is a child-friendly space! I know there are lots of mums out there who would love to be more active or take a little time to reconnect with themselves, but just can't find any child-free time to do so. Here is your answer! 21.01.2022 We are jumping for joy this Christmas Eve because we are relieved to say our new range of swim nappies have finally arrived and we have got them up on the website just in time for Christmas! With 10 new colours to choose from we hope you love them as much as we do. - Now to build a swing set (that came in 12 boxes!) before the sun comes up! I feel like a real parent this Christmas. 21.01.2022 Were stewards of this land, so every time we negatively impact the system, were actually jeopardising our ability to breathe, drink water, consume food. Its such a fine line between feeling like a dooms-dayer and wanting to educate people, so forgive me if this conversation is getting old for you.. but, It really is hard to sit and think about just how many decisions we make each day that do negatively impact our planet. Still, the key is to not get bogged down in the ...problem and shift our energy towards finding solutions. I can totally relate to this girls journey. When our family attempted plastic free July last year the first real question was, What do we eat? and it was the first time that I noticed, some of my favourite vegetables ONLY were available packed in plastic. Even at some of the farmers markets! It was especially hard trying to grab something to eat on the go. Forget stopping at the grocery store on your way to a friends BBQ to grab some snacks to share. You need to be organised. But thats not a bad thing. And, like this girl discovered, there can be other benefits to reducing your waste, like a healthier diet and not having to worry about all of your food and drink absorbing chemicals from plastics. We really want to help families make a big impact on their household waste this year, and for those of you who have babies, an obvious place to start is ditching disposable nappies. They really arent that good for your baby and no doubt they are stinking up your rubbish bin. If you have chosen to have children you have pretty much said yes, I think the planet will still be around to enjoy in another 100 Years. In order for that to happen we all need to take responsibility for our daily choices. Big change doesnt always happen overnight but small change can. Think about your lifestyle and where you would be willing to try making some positive changes. You wont just be doing the right thing by the planet, chances are you will be creating a healthier home and setting a positive example for your young family. Win-win. See more

15.01.2022 We love Nat from Placenta Vitality and were so glad we encapsulated Kaelyns placenta, I am literally down to my last capsule but it has been in my fridge for weeks as I just cant bare to take it! I will definitely do the same next time around. I really do think it helped me during my first few weeks post partum and if it didnt well, then, it didnt hurt me either!
