07.01.2022 Today we had a very special visit from fire fighter Lesley from the Wooroloo Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, who brought her fire truck with her for us to see, we got to use the siren, turn the red and blue flashing lights on, play with the hose and discovered some of the tools that Bush fire fighters use, as well as learning why some fire trucks are white and others red. It was so much fun getting to explore a real fire truck and meeting a real fire fighter, Lesley said we were such a great group of kids that’ll she bring the even bigger fire truck back for a visit next time. Thank you Lesley for visiting us and allowing us to play and explore the fire truck.

06.01.2022 Flower arrangement with play dough We prepared some play dough to represent it as soil and got some plants too. We scaffolded the babies by saying; "alright babies, here is my soil and I am planting the flowers". We shared the play dough and flowers equally to the babies. The babies had fun by sticking the flowers, smelling the odour of the flowers and rolling and squishing the play dough. Through this activity, children developed their fine motor skills and developed their sense of smell. They developed their cognitive skills by learning about colours such as green, red and purple.

05.01.2022 This week our kindy friends were busy learning on patterns. We used different kinds of materials to make pattern. Children were engaging and showing enthusiasm on learning. With this kind of experience children develop range of skills and processes such as their thinking skills, learned to solve problem, investigation and make hypothesis. Children resource their learning through on different processed materials. And they begun to understand how symbols and pattern systems work.
