22.01.2022 I read an article recently that said if you ask a younger person to mime using a phone with their hand, they wont do the traditional "banana phone" thumb and pinky sign, but instead will hold a flat hand up to their ear. I havent had much of a chance to see if that is true this year, but what do you think? Also be aware if you are keen to ask your child, be prepared they will want your phone - Leanne

21.01.2022 In a regular year, I get quite a few enquiries for the traditional kindy album, from random parents whose kinder photographer didnt offer them. Theyre just not one of those things you can buy at the shops and are very industry-specific. This year, im talking with lots of parents that are fearful there will be no photographs this year. Its just another NOPE in a year of nopes.. another unknown, another thing. So ive designed 8 new generic kinder album covers, with 3 di...fferent titles for you, for sale to the general public. Oh goodness me, the wiggling, the pivoting, the thanks, the gratitude .. all those mamas and Directors and Kinder teachers that i've been trying to work with and hitting brick walls .. all the things .. all the things... 20.01.2022 I tips me hat off to you! This little monkey from yesterday loved his hat, so I had to make him prove his hair wasn't pink with green dots. Two weeks in now and i've done 4 kinders O_O .. there's a lot of catch up to do. 19.01.2022 Socially Distant Photography. . Did you know the lenses we use dont even focus unless the child is 1.5m away? It doesnt stop us engaging and having fun with our little mates, in fact, it gives them more freedom to be themselves . Baking is sooooo not my thang, but ive worked with this mob before and they are good fun peeps .. maybe youd like to apply? :) Whether youre a home baker or hot mess in the kitchen we want to capture the moments that are happening around Australia using the recipes from the iconic Childrens Birthday Cake book as the backbone of this new series.... 10.01.2022 My last centre in a while .. again .. This year has been postponement after postponement. Everyone has been so lovely and supportive in the childcare/kinder industry, as they always are, but more so this year when were looking for new dates.. pushing 5 months of bookings into the remaining 4, when those months were already at full capacity to begin with .. Im thankful for the bookings ive been able to keep, for social distancing, for washing and sanitising and regular ...temp checks. For joy and cheer and small things. For health, for kindness. Thankyou everyone, for doing your bit Xx

You know, I remember the gold foil from the inside of cigarette packs being the holy grail of all things shiny to paste and craft with ... but it also absolutely stunk! Im flexing and adjusting as I go, and working hard to squeeze 6 months of postponements into the remaining 4 ( no easy feat given those months were already fully booked! ).. 04.01.2022 FriYay! Im far too busy to be posting pics, but when I took this today, I knew it was pretty special. Seconds before there were two other kids on the fort checking this pose out in the background, and i'm like "quick quick, go down the slide!" ( subtext - dudes! out of my shot! ) They never know my motivation, i'm always just playing games.. but when I got this, I was like YES! I'm SO glad to be back at kinder and back at work - you'd be hard-pressed to make me even a litt...le cranky at the moment. I've had to give my kinders and centres and families and gorgeous staff literally no notice, and everyone has been so kind and accommodating and on board and man, how good is it to be alive? Have a great weekend <3
