23.01.2022 How to grab your ideal clients attention so they comment on your posts First up, let’s talk about *why* you want people to comment on your posts. Is it because... You want to gain new followers? Comments = sales? You want to build a loyal following? It’s important for you to identify exactly why you want your audience to comment and engage with your posts, because if the intention ain’t right, the message won’t be clear to your audience. So, let’s make sure we’re all on the same page. Whilst gaining new followers is COOL and makes you look ~popular~, it doesn't do *much* for your biz. Because the intent is to build your following, the message that comes across may be more self-indulgent and focused on you and your needs, so your audience won't feel compelled to engage with your content. Not ideal The same thing happens when each of your posts push for a sale. Whilst selling is inherent for your business growth and survival, it shouldn’t be so blatant in your posts. It comes across as desperate and pushy. Now, if your goal is to build a loyal following, you’re gonna’ get results. Building a loyal audience is all about establishing trust, building genuine relationships, and providing SO much value , that your ideal clients have no choice but to turn on post notifications and lap up every post you create. Why? Because your intentions are customer-focused and come from your heart + soul. And your audience will feel that. 20.01.2022 Life hasn’t always looked like this. 1 I once had no idea how to use Instagram for business 2 My overall business strategy was to do nothing and expect clients to be lining up to work with me 3 I used to be *so* uncertain and insecure about my business and IT SHOWED ... 10.01.2022 Let’s stop pretending for one minute It’s Monday, and for most of us, Monday’s look like a day of prepping, planning and getting our sh*t sorted for the next 5 days. We might scroll through our IG feed and read through some Happy Monday! posts by our fave online biz owners and wait a minute, how do they look so calm and collected on a Monday morning when my brain and heart is splattered all over my desk, bed and kitchen floor?!?! ... I call BS. Why is it the norm for people in biz to pretend everything is okay all the time? 2020 has literally been a sh*t storm. We’re currently going through a pandemic, a global revolution, and are still recovering from nation-wide bushfires. So, here’s what I have to say: It’s okay if you’re not okay. You’re human. You don’t need to be switched on and powering through all the time. Stop listening to the people who are telling you you aren’t working hard enough. If your Monday is reflecting the chaos around us right now, don’t feel like you need to give in to the pressure of perfection. Instead, take a deep breath. Put your phone on aeroplane mode. Make yourself a cup of tea and give yourself 30 minutes (or more) to check in and do whatever you need to do to feel like you. Seriously, the best small businesses out there know how to connect with their ideal clients because they relate to them as humans.... But it’s not necessarily as simple as saying, Hey, I have feelings too, buy my stuff! It’s much deeper than that. Let’s look at it this way. What sort of qualities do you find yourself drawn to in your friends and family? Is it transparency? Honesty? Are they reliable? Do they make you laugh? Go ahead, write it down, cause we’re going to come back to these things in a minute (and you’re going to refer back to them over and over again in your business). Now, let’s think about the things they do that demonstrate these qualities. Are they always on time? Do they send you funny memes every day? Do they tell you when have green stuff in your teeth? Write it down. Now, let’s think about your business and the qualities you want your biz to have. If you’re not sure, let’s use the above qualities you wrote down. Think about HOW you can demonstrate these qualities in your business. Can you commit to posting the same time each week? Can you be honest and tell your ideal clients when they need to step up their game? Will you start creating content that makes them laugh? The easiest way for you to create a business people love and want to support, is through defining the core qualities of your business, and how these qualities show up and benefit your audience. And that’s by humanising your business, identifying the feelings you want associated with your business, and the ways you can create those feelings so people grow to love and support you(r business). 05.01.2022 Hey Why don't you pour a cuppa so we can chat? It has been a hot flippin' minute since I've consistently shown up on the 'gram. Like... 6 weeks to be precise. So, where the heck have I been, and what have I been up to?... 02.01.2022 Remember when your parents would tell you it doesn't cost anything to be nice? They were right. Empathy and kindness are where it's at. Yup, even in your content marketing.... Now, before we get too far into this, let's just clear something up... Your kindness and empathy will only go as far as your intentions. If you're using empathy solely as a strategy and without believing in the words and messages you're sharing, karma is going to kick you in the butt and expose you soon enough. So, don't be that guy Now, what was I saying? Oh, that's right! Prioritising kindness and empathy in your messaging is super valuable and powerful. Being kind and empathetic to your audience and ideal clients validates your authenticity, builds trust, starts conversations (and keeps them going), and shows you have a heart. People love people with kind hearts. 02.01.2022 Your low-performing post says A LOT I want you to think of your Instagram posts through this lens : As a business owner who is experimenting and testing what works on Instagram.... Oh, wait - that IS you. I know it can sometimes be deflating or defeating to see low numbers on your post insights, but these low numbers say A LOT. Like Your audience wasn’t online at the time you posted (you haven’t checked your insights for your followers most active times yet!) The visual wasn’t engaging enough (think on-brand graphics and photos of YOU!) The hook needed more work (was the first line of your caption interesting or engaging?) The content-type didn't work for the content topic (maybe a graphic was more appropriate than a reel?) The post wasn't relevant to your target audience (have you identified your target audience and their pain points?) Another internet trend was taking up space on Instagram at that time (this could be a news story or even a funny meme trend ) The post was not on-brand (do you know who you are online and what you’re trying to say?) The content did not have a purpose (did you think about WHY that post needed to be posted and how it is going to grow your business?) And hey! There is absolutely no reason why you can’t re-create your post and do something differently with it to see if that performs to a higher level But what I really want you to know is your post DEFINITELY doesn’t say is anything about your worth as a human and business owner. Whether it performs GREAT or poorly, it says nothing about you. See more

We are constantly conducting research on our ideal clients because we wanna get inside their heads and find ways to tell them "HEY YOU, I have what you need!"... We're clear on the problem they need solved, we know the solution we have to offer, but do we know all of their pain points? Identifying and understanding our ideal client's pain points tell us SO much more than we realise, like: Why they might need your offer The journey they went on to find your business (offers) The reasons they may have for purchasing from you.
