One that opens up conversations and the opportunity to dig into our culture and heritage, one that will offer the opportunity for exploration, exhibition and across oceans! TIME TO SPREAD THE WORD AND GET IN TOUCH!

02.01.2022 http://www.alternativehair.org/ HELLO HELLO Calling filmmakers based in England. ODYSSEY is the Alternative Hair Show that’ll be on in London, October 16th this year.... http://www.alternativehair.org/ As part of the show, there is also the International Visonary Award 2016- which is a hair styling competition with three categories. Hair stylists from all over the world are flying in and are teaming up with makeup artists, designers and models for this competition. I have been asked to be one of the hair models on the catwalk, by Mr Anthony Tan, who runs AhKim Art of Hair Intercoiffure and has been selected as one of the finalists for the Avant Garde Category. Mr Anthony Tan is Singaporean born and Sydney based, and is working together with International Make Up Artist from India to create an original style for his showcase. He is looking to see if anyone might be keen on volunteering their time to shoot the process of the styling as well as the time on the catwalk. While unpaid, this would allow great exposure (and free access) to the Alternative Hair Show on October 16th, at The Royal Albert Hall. The footage (raw and edited) of Mr Tan’s styling process and the time we have on stage is also more than welcome to be used for the filmmaker’s own portfolio. I have attached here a brief from the website on the International Visionary Award. INTERNATIONAL VISIONARY AWARD 2016 An intrinsic part of the evening is the Visionary Award. Inspired by an idea of Anthony Mascolo’s the Award seeks and recognizes new talent. It has grown over the last few years into an international photographic competition. The finalists are each invited to present a model during a separate part of the show. Judged by top hairdressers and journalists from across the globe, 3 winners from each category are announced during the evening. This year we will continue with the 3 categories: Avant-Garde, Cut & Colour & Mens. With the growing success of the Visionary Award, we felt that we needed to broaden the criteria to allow more hairdressers to showcase their work, says Tony Rizzo, Alternative Hair Founder. There is so much exciting work being done today, I wanted to give hairdressers the opportunity to show their creative cuts and colours. I am sure this allow us to see some new talent from across the globe. Alternative Hair is so much more than a charity event, so much more than a hair show. It is about an event that is close to the heart of many people within the hairdressing profession, inspiring, enthralling and entertaining; a ‘not to be missed event’ on the hairdressing calendar.
